Hi, welcome to my site. In August 2022 I released a song called "Thanks For That" which was an emotional tribute to the strong women in my life that look after me and have my back. My wife, my daughter, my big sis and my late mum. It has received a lot of praise and now has over 26,000 streams on Spotify. I then started to wonder if it would also make a good instrumental? I kicked the idea around with my studio team, and we decided using a saxophone as the lead instrument would be a great sound. I reached out to Brisbane Saxophonist Joshua Hatcher and he came and did the session for me. I added bass, drums, more syth, and another guitar part. I am amazed at the result! I had no idea how it would change the song completely and turn it into an instrumental that stands on it's own. Style wise it's adult contemporary, dreamy jazz, with similarities to a Kenny G song. Josh has captured the emotional phrasing of the lyrics with his beautiful interpretation. I can't wait for you all to hear it. Please put your headphones on, kick back and enjoy.
