Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu Ful is a Malayalam comedy film released in 2015. The film, written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, revolves around a goat named Pinky and a rare herb called Neelakoduveli, which brings fortune to its owner. The film features an ensemble cast of Jayasurya, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty and others.

Plot

The film begins in Bangkok, where a gangster named Dude is assigned by his boss to fetch Neelakoduveli, a herb that is believed to grant eternal wealth. Meanwhile, in Kerala, Shaji Pappan is the captain of a tug-of-war team called Winners Pothumukku. The team wins a tournament and receives a cash prize and a female goat as a trophy. They name the goat Pinky and decide to slaughter it for a barbecue. However, their plans are interrupted by a series of mishaps, such as an accident that leaves one of their members with cognitive impairment, a police raid that lands them in jail, and a rival tug-of-war team that challenges them for a rematch.

Unbeknownst to them, Pinky has eaten Neelakoduveli, which was smuggled into Kerala by Dude's henchmen. This makes Pinky very valuable and attracts the attention of various parties, such as Dude and his gang, a corrupt police officer named Sarbath Shameer, a communist leader named Sakhavu Sunny, and a local don named Pappanji. All of them try to get hold of Pinky and Neelakoduveli by any means possible, resulting in a chaotic chase and a series of hilarious situations.

Reception

The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences upon its release. It was criticized for its weak plot, excessive length, and lack of coherence. However, it also received praise for its humor, dialogues, and performances. The film was a box office flop initially, but gained popularity through DVD sales and online streaming platforms. It developed a cult following among the Malayalam cinema fans and spawned two sequels: Aadu 2 (2017) and Aadu 3 (2021).
