This Privacy Policy describes how CogniPaper (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the CogniPaper Android application. By using our application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Our app supports anonymous usage without login, no personal data will be collected for anonymous users.
When you choose to log‑in via Google OAuth:
- We collect your Google account user ID and email address.
This data is only stored on our secure backend server for identifying user quota limits for AI‑paper‑related features.
We do NOT collect location, phone number, device identifiers, financial data, health information or contact lists.
3. How We Use Collected Data
- Identify logged‑in users and manage feature usage quota.
- Maintain normal service operation of AI paper‑assistant functions.
- Process your account deletion requests.
We will NOT use your personal data for marketing or advertisement purposes.
4. Data Transmission & Security
All user data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connection. We adopt reasonable technical measures to protect stored user information against unauthorized access.
5. Third‑Party Services
We use Google OAuth for sign‑in function. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy for their data handling rules.
We do not share your personal information with any other third‑party companies.
6. User Rights
If you have logged‑in and have an account record on our service, you have the right to request access, correction or full deletion of your account and related personal data.
You may submit account deletion requests via our dedicated account‑deletion web page. After receiving your valid request, we will delete your associated user data within 30 calendar days, except data we are required to retain for legal compliance purpose.
Anonymous user session data will not be permanently stored.
7. Children’s Privacy
This application is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 13 years old.
8. Policy Update
We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Updates will be published on this page.
