Alfonso Ramos/Poncho Rago was born in 2000 in Mexico City. My work is based on exploring the technical possibilities of using appropriation as a creative tool to rethink the collective perspective on originality and copying in art. I put this into practice by intervening framed paintings, old photographs and other objects found in flea markets with mixed techniques using symbolism of the collective Mexican imaginary and my own nostalgia.
