A Contemporary Outlook

My name is Garrett Reynolds and this is a Portfolio of stories I have written for MLLL 3043 at the University of Oklahoma, Spring 2018. I am originally from Tulsa, but later moved to Claremore. I am currently a finance and accounting major here at the University of Oklahoma. My goal is to turn complex stories into contemporary stories using modern language, imagery, and various other aspects to make them more understandable to today's reader. I have always loved all forms of expression but never was great at playing instruments, singing, or even drawing. Nonetheless, I always attempted to do these things and loved experimenting with different ways of expressing myself. The first thing that I ever created that I felt was actually worthwhile was a mashup of different songs I made on my computer. After doing that, I realized that I loved creating things regardless of how minor they may seem. I continued to create music and still do to this day; however, I am not an amazing artist. The reason I say this is because the art that I created was important and special to me. I feel that art is defined through the artist creating it rather than the viewer's interpretation. I hope that through my stories you are able to get a glimpse of what goes on in my mind and see how I think. As mentioned earlier, my stories will be portraying stories that you may find initially hard to read. I want to make these stories have my own personal feel to them and as a result of that they may change majorly. I also will be attaching music to all my stories as I feel it is another great component that allows for a better experience for the reader. I suggest using headphones when reading, but obviously they aren't required. I hope you all really enjoy reading my stories!
