Garreth Gibney

I am a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Galway and a Hardiman Scholar. My research interest are in applied microeconomics, specifically the economics 


I am a climate change economist and I study the nexus of  'Climate change, Health and Adaptation'. 

I use applied micro-econometric techniques to investigate the impact of extreme weather events on health and explore how behavioural responses, adaptation, and local environmental factors influence this relationship.
