Welcome to the website of Joan Garcia-Porta's Lab. We are dedicated to understanding the processes that allow organisms to persist, adapt, and diversify in novel environments.

We are currently based at the Complutense University of Madrid; however, as of September 2026, the lab will relocate to the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain) thanks to the Ramón y Cajal program.
