What is GApps and why you need it on your Android device

GApps (short for Google Apps) is a term that refers to a set of Google applications and services that are pre-installed on most Android devices. These include the Google Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Photos, Drive, Chrome, and many more. GApps also provide core functionality such as authentication, contacts synchronization, location services, and push notifications.

However, not all Android devices come with GApps pre-installed. Some device makers choose not to include them due to licensing issues or to offer a different user experience. Some users also prefer to install custom ROMs that do not have GApps by default. In these cases, you may need to install GApps manually if you want to use Google apps and services on your device.
