GAIA2026 – Generative AI and Actions for a changing world is a PhD school designed to equip young researchers with a solid understanding of the mathematical, algorithmic, and application-driven aspects of Generative Artificial Intelligence.
The school is aimed at PhD students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Mathematics who have a basic familiarity with neural networks. It offers a unique blend of theoretical insights and hands-on experience, tailored to accommodate diverse academic backgrounds and foster interdisciplinary learning.
Provide an accessible and solid foundation in Generative AI, introducing the essential concepts needed to understand modern generative models for both text and images. No previous knowledge of Generative AI is required.
Explore the security challenges associated with Generative AI, including deepfakes, adversarial attacks, model vulnerabilities, and other risks arising from the use of generative models in security-sensitive domains.
Discuss modern techniques and practical approaches for addressing these challenges, while also presenting scenarios in which Generative AI can support cybersecurity and contribute to the development of more effective security solutions.
Each topic will be explored both intuitively and technically to ensure accessibility and depth, allowing students from different backgrounds to engage fully with the content. Practical sessions will complement the lectures and provide direct experience with the concepts and techniques presented during the school. For participants who require course accreditation, an exam will be offered at the end of each module.
The total length of the school will be of 25 hours, a partecipation certificate will be given to all the partecipants. For students that needs to take an exam to gets their Doctoral Credits (CD), it will be possible to give exams at the end of the school. A certificate of partecipation with final exam will be then released.
From December 14th to December 17th (4 days - 3 nights).
Hotel Ambasciatori, Viale Amerigo Vespucci, 22, 47921, Rimini (RN), Italy.
