DEFINITION:
What does the term gifted and talented mean?
The term gifted and talented means students, children, or youth who give evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields; and need services or activities not ordinarily provided by the school in order to fully develop those capabilities.
VISION:
To guide students on their path through high school by providing culturally relevant interdisciplinary learning experience using cutting-edge technology and enrichment activities and equip them for a globally advanced society.
PROGRAM GOAL :
During the current school year, the overall goal of GT program at Greyhills is to provide eligible GT students the following services in accordance with their individualized education plan:
To provide an enriching educational environment for gifted students, to think creatively, foster curiosity and innovation
To incorporate culturally relevant content and experiences
To prepare students for success in higher education and future careers and
To administer sustainable implementation of a gifted program that involves administration, teaching staff, parents and students working in a positive and collaborative effort.
OBJECTIVE:
To design and implement an inclusive curriculum and instructional framework that integrates stimulating learning experiences, promotes curiosity, develops critical thinking skills, encourages collaboration, fosters innovation, and incorporates culturally relevant content and perspectives to ensure gifted students' readiness for college and career pathways.
