Gabriel Pina

I am currently a doctoral candidate in Public Affairs in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University .

My overall research agenda can be divided into two areas: Social Policy, with an emphasis on Housing Policy and Early Childhood Education, and Public Administration, with a focus on organizational performance.

I have five years of experience in program evaluation and cost-benefit analysis for international institutions and public and non-profit organizations.

I am experienced in and passionate about effectively communicating with data. I created and taught a class about data visualization for several years at the schools of public policy at University of Minnesota and Indiana University. I enjoy creating concise figures and tables to tell the story behind numbers and inform policy making.
