It now marks eight years since parental child abuse claimed the life of Gabriel Fernandez. Gabriel Fernandez was an eight years’ Boy that was murdered for exhibiting female like behaviors such as Playing with the dolls. Since his death, his memory has generated heated debates about his siblings and where they are currently.
In February 2020, a Netflix documentary TV series sought to answer some of the questions that people have about the murder and trials of Gabriel Fernandez. The series is currently streaming on Netflix. However, the viewers who have watched this documentary are still inquisitive about the whereabouts of the two siblings, Virginia and Ezequiel after the murder of their brother and more so, who has custody over this two siblings.

In the documentary, Virginia and Ezequiel asked for their anonymity meaning that few details were shared about their whereabouts and the progress of their lives and relationship as siblings.
Where are Ezequiel Fernandez and Virginia Fernandez?
Gabriel Fernandez had two siblings who are Ezequiel Fernandez and Virginia Fernandez. These two siblings testified at their mother’s Boyfriend Isauro Aguirre’s Murder case. Since they were minors, the trials didn’t permit them to be filmed in Court. At the time, Ezequiel Fernandez was 16 years while his sister was 14 years.
But in the 2020 Netflix True crime documentary series, these two siblings claimed that they are living with a supportive family member in a safe harbor.
What Happened to Pearl Fernandez?
Pearly Fernandez was the mother to Gabriel Fernandez who pleaded guilty to a first degree murder in Feb 2018 and sentenced to life without parole. This was revealed in the 2020 Netflix Documentary. The prosecutors claimed that Pearl had very low IQ. However, she’s currently serving a sentence in Chowchilla State Women’s Prison, California.
In the same case, her Boyfriend, Isauro Aguirre self-confessed beating Gabriel Fernandez to death and eventually charged with first degree murder. He’s was admitted at the San Quentin State Prison in California the same day of sentencing.
Who has custody over Gabriel Fernandez Siblings?
On the question of where these two siblings are, Gabriel’s Uncle, Chris Contreras breaks his silence. They claimed that he and his wife adopted the Gabriel’s siblings and offered them a safe and harmonious place for their recovery. The uncle claimed that these two siblings lived in a house full of fear that would affect their lives for good. For him, this was personal and the perpetrators should never be forgiven.
In this regard, his uncle takes aim at the Department of Children and Family services. However, what followed in the Department was worse than what their step father and mother had done to Gabriel. The appeals court dismissed the case claiming that a worker is not capable of taking care of siblings the same parents did.
Contreras says that a door opened and he has more powers over that. However, this was not aired on the documentary for giving the Contreras enough time to heal.
