Move On
Move On

Move On represents an experience I had last summer when I volunteered at an elementary summer school. The program took place at the same school I attended as a kid. I wanted this piece to show the feeling of being thrown back into an uncomfortable childhood. The figure has overgrown the classroom physically and mentally. The cluttered room represents the cluttered state of mind I felt during the first few days. Â School is not designed for kids who learn differently, and that fact affected me greatly as a kid. This piece represents a simple reminder of how we cannot go back to the way things were. Growing up means moving past phases of life and discovering more of who you are.
