Privacy Policy — G2 CONTROL
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Overview
G2 CONTROL is an Android application that lets you control a Yamaha Genos2 keyboard from a tablet over a USB MIDI connection. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
Information we collect
None. G2 CONTROL does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Data stored on your device
The app saves your settings on your device only — tone selections, layer sets, presets, registrations, volume levels, and related configuration. This data stays on your tablet and is never uploaded anywhere. You can export it to a file yourself using the Backup function, and you can remove it at any time by using the Delete function inside the app or by uninstalling the app.
In-app purchases
The app offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. To confirm a purchase is valid, the app sends the purchase token (issued by Google Play), the app's package name and the product ID to our verification server. The server asks Google Play whether the purchase is valid and returns only "valid" or "not valid". The token contains no personal information, and the server does not store it.
Permissions
- USB access — to communicate with your keyboard. This connection is local, between your tablet and the instrument, and carries only MIDI messages.
- File access (document picker) — only when you choose a backup file, PDF scores or a folder of MIDI files. The app accesses only the files and folders you pick.
- Internet access — for one purpose only: verifying in-app purchases as described above.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
