I am a Scientist at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change based at the CMCC@Ca' Foscari, a Research Scholar at the Energy, Climate, and Environment program at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis

I am working on integrated energy-economy-environment analysis, with a specific focus on multi-level decisions (household, infrastructure, national and global policy) related to climate change impacts and adaptation, as well as to sustainable development challenges. My work consists of data-driven research, mostly through empirical and techno-economic analysis of energy and environmental issues, and the relative policy implications. I really much believe in the power of data (in particolar, geospatial analysis and remote sensing) for empowering both research and policy. Currently, I am working on a small research grant funded by IIASA, called URGED ("URban mitigation and adaptation strategies Gauging through Empirical functions and Data products").

Since 2024, I am also a Research Fellow with the Kigali Collaborative Research Centre (KCRC) and I serve as an Editorial Board member at the Environmental Research: Infrastructure and Sustainability journal. In the last few years, I have coordinated modelling activities in the H2020 LEAP-RE - RE4AFAGRI (Renewables for African Agriculture) project and I collaborated with the ERC EnergyA (Energy for Adaptation) project of Prof. Enrica De Cian.

Previously, I have been a researcher with the energy programs of FEEM (Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei) and with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and I served as Advisory Council Member at EarthArXiv.

When I am not in front of my laptop, I'm keen on water sports, music jams, writing, and cooking.
