Workshop on Frontiers of Video Technology-2017
Recent progress in research in Computer Vision and its impact on technology and industry has been nothing short of stunning. However, even as the progress in object recognition from images and other single image related problems has been dramatic, the impact of video research lags behind.
The goal of the workshop is to have a few leading researchers across academia and industry present and discuss cutting-edge research in video, the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead and the ways in which the community can work together to make rapid progress. Planned topics will include high-level understanding (e.g., action and activity recognition/detection), unsupervised learning, VR/360 video, multimodal reasoning (e.g., audio, natural language), etc.
Participation in the workshop is by invitation only.
