The last official project activity of the FTC project was dedicated to conclude the work of all involved participants, to at least virtually visit the school, the team, town and region of Alsfeld.
The meeting was held on December 4th and with two of four partners committed in distance learning and a number of former participants already at university or in their new professions the rest of the involved pupils and their teachers came together to review and celebrate the achievements of this project DESPITE the impacts of the pandemic.
Led by the coordinating school who was originally meant to be the host of the final meeting, the virtual gathering started with greeting from the German coordinator and a welcome & thank you address of the principal of MES Alsfeld, Mr. Walther. Using a former work result of the MES pupils, they introduced themselves via video and shortly in person. In addition, the audience was taken on a short virtual tour around the town of Alsfeld.
Then it was time for a look back on all the great work and cooperation that brought the teams step by step forward in the stages of the project. For this a project video was created and shown.
The video also included the last results from Germany that showed the practical tests of sewing with conductive thread and the documentation of project work. The highlight was the presentation of a professional sketch done by one of the German bespoke tailoring trainees according to all the details agreed and voted upon during LTTA No. 3.
The meeting was concluded with greetings from the Spanish & German teams from their classrooms, whereas a number Greek and Austrian participants greeted from their homes with personal messages, videos and little farewell gifts.
