From 17.02.2019 - 23.02.2019 the Austrian students welcomed the German, Spanish and Greek students in Vienna.
One goal was to get to know each other better through team building activities like brainstorming in groups on developing a project logo or on possible project / prototype ideas.
Students took part in a guided school tour and got to know our practice companies.
The prototype ideas were presented by the students using the previously introduced method elevator pitch. The cultural exchange took place through visits to Vienna and the consumption of typical food.
Project Management - The students learned basic steps for the project: They described the project objectives, determined available resources, fixed some deadlines, created teams with e.g. technical, cutter and business experts. Students created ground rules for their project group: e.g. being on time for all team meetings, informing the team leader if someone is unable to complete work on time and determining how everything should be documented 1. . -> for this point there is a pdf file with examples!
Students should get an overview of price policy on clothes in the different countries. They visited three shops in the Donauzentrum and compared the prices with each country. Then they discussed the differences and the commonalities in the morning at school.
The elevator pitch is created to sell something in 30 seconds or less (the time it takes to go from the first floor to the top of the building in an elevator).
The students had to work out “The High Five” of the elevator pitch: What are you pitching?, Who is your target audience?, “Hook” your audience with a wow factor!, Why you? Paint a picture and rescue your audience and When? Revise and rehearse with THE ASK!
They presented their project idea using this method. The results are the five videos.
