Future MIS Scholars Grant
About the Grant
The students and scholars from low HDI countries are severely underrepresented in the Information Systems community. In order to address this issue, we pursue the following goals:
Increase the awareness about the Information Systems discipline in the academic communities of these countries.
Remove some of the financial barriers that inhibit talented students from these countries to apply to PhD programs in the US Business Schools.
Provide mentorship and guidance to promising PhD applicants, assisting them in identifying a PhD program that aligns with their research interests and methodological strengths.
Future MIS Scholars Grant is a merit- and need-based scholarship that covers the application fee for one PhD program per awardee in Information Systems (IS) or related disciplines in the US business schools. The recipients of this scholarship would also receive guidance and mentorship from Information Systems scholars in the US to improve and better prepare their applications for PhD programs.
