I focus on computer science education and the ways in which computing can improve education more generally. I teach core computer science courses (e.g., Data Structures, Algorithms) as well as electives related to my field (e.g., Game Design, Artificial Intelligence, HCI). As a researcher, I strive to get undergraduate students involved in research activities and to continue to investigate the ways in which games, artificial intelligence, and human centered design can create more personalized educational experiences for all.

The Faculty of Arts & Science implements the Grading Regulations, reviews course marks submitted by academic units, and posts the official marks. Official marks are communicated to students via ACORN.

Tally marks are defined in the unary numeral system. It is a form of numeral used for counting. The general way of writing tally marks is as a group or set of five lines. The first four lines are drawn vertically and each of the fifth line runs diagonally over the previous four vertical lines, i.e. from the top of the first line to the bottom of the fourth line.

Tally mark chart or graph is a graphical representation of the data in statistics. It is beneficial in scanning the data. Graph table has one vertical line which is made for each of the first four numbers and the fifth number is represented by a diagonal line across the previous four. Below chart contains tally marks for the numbers counting from 1 to 10.

Suppose we are asked to create a frequency distribution provided with raw data or random values. In this case, we may have to make either for individual observations or class intervals. If we count all the occurrences of a single data value or a class interval in one go, we will have to cross-check the entire list again and again for the next observation or class interval. Hence, this will take a lot of time to finish. The complexity of this can be reduced by making use of tally marks. This can be done just by adding tally marks for each different observation or class interval. Therefore, we have to traverse the entire list of given data set only once. And then write the frequency numbers by counting the tally marks after finishing identification. Hence, the obtained table is defined as the frequency distribution table for the given data.

In this way, tally marks are used to find the frequency of the set of data values, more specifically for the given ungrouped raw data. Below solved example questions will help you in understanding this concept in a better way.

The Joan H. Marks Graduate Program in Human Genetics gives students a comprehensive understanding of the medical, scientific, and counseling aspects of human genetics. The program places equal emphasis on clinical genetic and genomic sciences and psychological approaches to working with patients.

Another of Professor Tessler's service to the profession and to the public contributions is his 2022 book, Social Science Research in the Arab World and Beyond: A Guide for Students, Instructors, and Researchers. The book discusses the theory and method of social science research and illustrates key concepts and procedures with examples of research projects carried out in the Arab world. The book has been translated into Arabic, and both the English and Arabic editions can be downloaded without charge from from the publishers' websites.

I teach in both Political Science and American Studies. My teaching interests range from ancient to contemporary political theory, as well as problems of democracy, public space, cultural analysis, race and slavery, visual politics, and the emerging politics of algorithmic systems. My current research is shaped by a commitment to showing how political theory and political science can engage more fully with the visual domain, and why that matters. Among my areas of particular interest are the ethics and politics of images and the place of visuality within the history of political thought (ancient and modern); I seek to understand contemporary technosocial transformations of imaging and our visual experience; and my work is engaged with debates about the relations between politics and aesthetics, broadly conceived. Interwoven through my work in all these areas is a particular interest in the politics of racialization.

The Department's faculty are accomplished educators and scientists for winning university, regional and national teaching and research awards, for publishing in international scientific journals and for serving as leaders in professional societies. Together, they cover the diverse areas of animal genetics/genomics, breeding, biotechnology (genetic engineering and stem cells), animal reproduction, embryology, growth biology and endocrinology, food microbiology and safety, dairy technology and safety, equine science, dairy production and management, meat chemistry, laboratory animal science as well as diversified livestock.

Our students gain invaluable hands-on experience with a wide variety of species from their very first semester. All of our animal units are within walking distance on campus and students have the opportunity to work closely with them in class, through research and a variety of student employment opportunities.

The performance of 209 students in the 2nd MBBS, first clinical year and final MBBS examinations has been compared retrospectively with their grades in chemistry, physics and biology at "A" level. The mean grade has also been determined for students from different social classes and secondary education. Significant differences in marks for biology were found between successful and not so successful students, especially in the pre-clinical part of the course. Significnat differences in marks and significant correlations were also found for physics but not to any great extent for chemistry. The relative role of these three basic sciences in the medical course is discussed. The suggestion is made that there is a need for a re-appraisal of the privleged position of chemistry and an unquestioned science requirement for entry to medical school.
