In this Windows 7 Theme post, we are talking about Full Glass theme for Windows 7. These themes make almost everything fully transparent on your Windows 7. You can see through almost all the windows, have a look at these snapshots below. Yes, it gives a full glass effect.

On Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers that meet certain hardware and software requirements, the Windows Aero theme is used by default, primarily incorporating various animation and transparency effects into the desktop using hardware acceleration and the Desktop Window Manager (DWM). In the "Personalize" section added to Control Panel of Windows Vista, users can customize the "glass" effects to either be opaque or transparent, and change the color it is tinted. Enabling Windows Aero also enables other new features, including an enhanced Alt-Tab menu and taskbar thumbnails with live previews of windows, and "Flip 3D", a window switching mechanism which cascades windows with a 3D effect.

is it possible to make the windows with transparent textures (to create a glass like effect) impassible, so that even projectiles cannot pass through them? i tried raising the floor level of the sector, and setting the lower textures for the glass, but that didn't work.. has anyone else figured anything out?

Do what you have now, just put a self-referencing sector in the middle fo the glass. That will block rockets and whatnot, but still be transparent.

See the transparent door effect on the DOOM World editing section.

Windows Vista introduced the Desktop Window Manager and the Aero theme for window borders, title bars and the Start menu. This theme is very beautiful. Windows 7 and Windows Vista came with a blur effect for the transparency used in the Aero theme. This glass effect got removed in Windows 8. Due to user feedback, it was restored in Windows 10 but title bars and window borders continue to use only flat colors. Thankfully, there is a solution for Windows 10 version 1703 "Creators Update".

With Windows 7, Microsoft introduced a really unique and beautiful appearance for the operating system. Windows Vista already had some features like transparent window frames with glass (blur effect) but Windows 7 introduced a glass taskbar and a glass Start Menu which follows the Aero color. They were very well received by most users. With Windows 8, Microsoft removed the glass effect from window frames and the blur effect from the taskbar. In Windows 10, the appearance has become even less 3D, minimalistic and uses completely flat colors without any gradients. Many users are missing the good old look of Windows 7. Let's see how to get the Windows 7 theme in Windows 10.

I have been trying to create an airport building with transparent glass panels. When the texture for the glass is completely transparent it works but I want to add a tint to the glass. The issue is that when I add a tint to the texture X-plane won't draw anything behind the glass panel. I have the glass panels assigned to their own material in blender and have been playing around with the settings. However nothing I have done so far has fixed fixed the issue.

Share the texture map if you could, as I never have issues creating transparent windows.

I also only use one material for the entire building i'm modeling, nothing special with the glass.

Here's an example of this.

@Char1ie473 This is a draw order issue. I've never tried with a single object but i've done lots with transparent objects in front of others. The problem is that you need the transparent object to draw after the ones behind it which often isnt the case. To do this you'll want to separate the windows into a separate object (you can still use the same single texture sheet) and then change the layer group on the window object, I usually do +2 or +3. After that just duplicate the original object in wed and change the file path to point to your windows and it should be all good. Like I said I haven't tried with a single object before so I'm not sure how to do that or if it is at all possible.

But you cannot expect it to come off the printer like glass without making specific setting changes and going into the project with the expectation to post process extensively. My clear window took me 3 days to get from original print to totally transparent.

I have tried PETG and clear Polymax, and I could never get a good result even with lots of sanding. I could get a smooth surface, but it would be foggy and nothing I tried got rid of that. My best windows so far have been from using PVB filament and smoothing with IPA. I have also used a 0.6mm nozzle and set it to get just two layers thick, as it is not possible to use vase mode or to get only one layer on an open surface like a window. I still get some visible layer lines but the result is reasonably transparent.

All I know is I can set buttons to down all opacity of a window, but it includes text and icons. That install only lowers the background and nothing else. This is from a theme called Arch but after installing I still have opaque windows.

I use Black Glass Enhanced (curiouso9.deviantart.com/art/Black-Glass-Enhanced-v0-5-156752713) with my black Windows 7 theme. Unfortunately, Windows Photo Viewer does not have any transparency like all my other specified programs. When Windows Photo Viewer executes, it runs as dllhost.exe, which is already on the list of programs to make transparent within Black Glass Enhanced. So I'm not sure why it isn't "glassifying" properly.

The first screenshot is Windows Photo Viewer; and the second is Windows 7 Gif Viewer (www.sevenforums.com/music-pictures-video/97830-windows-7-gif-viewer-works-perfectly.html), which is just Windows XP Photo Viewer transferred to Win7. Windows 7 Gif Viewer executes within rundll32.exe, which is also included in the list on Black Glass Enhanced. And as you can see, it is properly glassy.

Each parameter represents color consisting of RGB components divided by commas. activeBackground sets titlebar's color of active window, inactiveBackground sets titlebar's color of inactive windows. I added fourth component, representing Alpha channel, which sets transparency. Its value lies within [0-255] interval, higher values mean less transparency. I used 208. I also changed inactiveForeground which sets the color of text on inactive titlebar. This step is optional, but when transparency becomes active, text blends with the titlebar and becomes unreadable, so I decreased all 3 components' values by 100, shifting text color from gray to black.

Also update ColorScheme and Name parameters in [General] section to match your altered scheme name.

Now this theme should be activated. Open System Settings > Color, press Import Scheme... and open BreezeMod file, then press Apply. Here's the result:

Having said that, I do think that there should be some level of customization/optimization for private tabs. I opened an issue in our Brave-browser repo (this is our brave-core/1.0 repo) for the team to look over and discuss . I included your post in the issue as well:
