If you want durable, washable audio gear designed specifically for side sleepers and active runners who need a secure fit, choose Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones; if you need total light blocking, luxurious silk skin benefits, and adjustable speaker placement, choose LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft.
• Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones: Its biggest strength is the ultra-thin, breathable mesh design that allows for extended wear during running or side sleeping without pressure points; its trade-off is the lack of any light-blocking capability, making it unsuitable for those sensitive to ambient light. This pick is for athletes and commuters who prioritize audio comfort over darkness.
• LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft: Its biggest strength is the premium 22-momme mulberry silk construction that blocks out 99.99% of light while offering skin-saving temperature regulation; its trade-off is the delicate nature of the fabric, which requires gentle care compared to the rugged durability of a sports headband. This pick is for luxury seekers, travelers, and anyone who needs deep darkness to fall asleep.
The Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones are engineered with a specific philosophy in mind: utility through simplicity. The design centers on an elastic band made from durable braided cord with a breathable mesh lining, creating a piece of gear that feels more like athletic wear than traditional headphones. This makes it an exceptional choice for anyone who wants to listen to music, audiobooks, or white noise while moving. Because the earpieces are thin, flat, and felt-covered, they sit flush against the head without protruding, eliminating the painful pressure often associated with wearing standard earbuds while lying on your side.
For the runner looking for open ear headphones for running or a high-res experience during a jog, this device offers a distinct advantage. The cool-touch fabric is breathable and will not hold much heat, which is a critical factor when exercising in warmer climates or during intense cardio sessions. The one-headband fits most people thanks to its upgraded elastic design, ensuring a snug fit that stays put even when you are in motion. Furthermore, the cut-out feature allows you to easily remove the earpieces to wash the headband, a practical solution for maintaining hygiene after sweaty workouts.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you are a light sleeper who relies on complete darkness to drift off, the Fulext headband will not help you block out streetlights or a partner's nightlight. It is purely an audio device wrapped in a comfortable band. Additionally, while the battery life boasts up to 14 hours of playtime on a full charge, the actual average life listed is 10 hours, which is still substantial but worth noting if you plan on using it for very long shifts without access to power. It turns off automatically when the battery runs out, avoiding the beeping annoyance that can wake you up, but it does not offer active noise cancellation features. It is best suited for those who prioritize sound quality, comfort during movement, and easy maintenance over environmental control.

The LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft takes a completely different approach, focusing heavily on the sensory experience of rest and the protection of facial skin. Crafted from premium 22-momme mulberry silk, this mask is designed to be the ultimate companion for deep relaxation. The material is scientifically engineered to promote deeper relaxation and maintain perfect temperature regulation throughout the night. Unlike synthetic fabrics that can trap heat or cause friction, this silk is moisture-wicking and luxuriously soft, helping to reduce sleep lines while keeping your face cool. For anyone who values their skincare routine or suffers from dry skin, the thermoregulating properties of this mask make it a superior choice for nightly use.
The standout feature here is the total blackout capability. The ergonomic design uses a triangle wing shape and extended coverage to contour perfectly to every face shape, blocking out 99.99% of light. This is essential for shift workers, frequent travelers crossing time zones, or anyone who sleeps in a room that isn't pitch black. The built-in Bluetooth 5.4 speakers are integrated directly into the mask, allowing for seamless wireless connectivity up to 15 meters. A unique benefit of this design is the adjustability; the speakers are fully adjustable inside the mask, so you can slide them to align perfectly with your ears for a secure, personalized fit. This prevents the shifting issue common in other sleep masks and ensures consistent audio quality whether you are listening to meditation sounds or taking calls.
That said, the LC-dolida mask comes with specific care requirements. The delicate silk fabric requires gentle handling and cannot withstand the rough treatment of a washing machine cycle in the same way the Fulext headband can. It is also heavier, weighing in at 4.66 ounces, which might feel slightly more substantial on the face than a simple band. While it includes two noise-canceling earplugs and a storage bag for portability, the primary focus remains on the luxurious sleep environment rather than high-intensity activity. It is the ideal choice for someone who wants to transform their bedroom into a sanctuary, offering both auditory immersion and visual silence without the worry of sweat or fabric friction damaging the skin.
• Best for Running and Active Use: Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones wins decisively here due to its breathable mesh, sweat-resistant construction, and secure fit that doesn't bounce or rub.
• Best for Total Darkness: LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft is the only option that guarantees a blackout environment, blocking 99.99% of light to aid in melatonin production.
• Best for Skin Care: LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft is superior for preventing sleep lines and reducing friction on the face thanks to the 22-momme mulberry silk.
• Best Battery Longevity: Both offer impressive runtimes, but the Fulext headband's 14-hour potential (with an average of 10 hours) is tailored for all-night listening without interruption.
• Best for Durability and Cleaning: Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones is more robust; its components can be washed easily, whereas the LC-dolida silk requires delicate care.
• Best for Travel Comfort: LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft edges ahead for air travel due to the inclusion of a storage bag and the ability to block out cabin lights completely.
• Best for Adjustable Fit: LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft allows you to physically move the speakers within the mask to find the perfect spot, while Fulext relies on the elastic band's tension.
• Best Value for Athletes: Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones offers a multi-purpose tool that transitions seamlessly from a yoga session to a nightcap, whereas LC-dolida is strictly a sleep accessory.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the Fulext Sleep Headband Headphones if my priority was versatility and activity. The combination of Bluetooth 5.4, a 14-hour battery, and a breathable design that works well for running makes it a more functional piece of technology for an active lifestyle. It solves the problem of uncomfortable earbuds without adding the bulk of a heavy mask. However, if your primary struggle is falling asleep due to light sensitivity or if you prioritize skin health above all else, the LC-dolida Luxurious Silk Soft becomes the clear winner. In my opinion, for running specifically, the Fulext headband is the safer bet because it keeps you cool and secure, whereas a silk mask might become too warm or shift during movement. Ultimately, choose the Fulext for performance and the LC-dolida for pure relaxation.
While the Fulext headband is water-resistant enough for sweat during a workout, neither product sheet explicitly states a waterproof rating for heavy rain. The Fulext is better suited for sweaty conditions due to its breathable mesh, but neither should be submerged.
The LC-dolida mask is made of delicate 22-momme mulberry silk which requires gentle care. You should not machine wash it like the Fulext headband; instead, follow the delicate care instructions to preserve the fabric's sheen and softness.
Neither product offers active noise cancellation (ANC). The Fulext relies on the physical seal of the band and volume control, while the LC-dolida includes passive noise-canceling earplugs in the package to help block external sounds.
With up to 14 hours of playtime (average 10 hours) for the Fulext and 15 hours for the LC-dolida, neither product is designed to last a full week on a single charge. You will need to recharge them daily or every other day depending on your usage intensity.
