Fuad Mohammed Shuker (MSc) Lecturer, Rural Development and Agricultural Extension Madda Walabu University
I hold an MSc degree in Rural Development and Agricultural Extension (Rural Development) from Haramaya University, Ethiopia, which I completed on February 19, 2025. Additionally, I conducted my thesis research in Germany during my exchange study of the Sustainable International Agriculture program at the University of Kassel.
I have been serving in various positions, starting from graduate assistant to lecturer in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Madda Walabu University, Ethiopia. I have more than six years of research and academic experience in the areas of rural development, climate change, natural resource management, agricultural extension, sustainable rural development, communication and group dynamics, extension program planning, monitoring and evaluation, farming systems, household livelihood diversification, social capital and institutions, rural saving and credit cooperatives, development training, different phases of community-based field projects, and village stay camps.
During my career, I taught various courses and assisted the students in research and departments in reviewing curriculum and administrative capacities. Moreover, I have worked as a data collector/supervisor for various national and international research projects in my part-time work. I had provided community service at different institutions, which equipped me with the skills of working and living under diverse cultural and environmental conditions.
