If you want a dedicated 20W fast-charging cable and block to keep your Sony headphones or speakers running for hours on the water, choose FTUINL 6FT; if you need a versatile 2-in-1 adapter to listen to music through standard wired headphones while simultaneously fast-charging your modern smartphone, choose SIXSIM USB C. These two products serve fundamentally different roles in an outdoor audio setup, and confusing one for the other will leave you stranded with the wrong gear.
• FTUINL 6FT: Offers a robust 6.6-foot charging solution with a 20W block, perfect for powering large headphones without tugging cables; trade-off is it only charges via USB-C and requires compatible devices.
• SIXSIM USB C: Delivers a compact 2-in-1 dongle that splits your phone port for both audio and power, ideal for using legacy earbuds while charging; trade-off is it does not transfer data and relies on specific PD chargers for full speed.
• Best for fishing: Choose FTUINL 6FT if you are using wireless over-ear headphones like Sony WH-1000XM series that need long reach to charge from a battery pack or car outlet.
• Best for daily commuting: Choose SIXSIM USB C if you own a newer iPhone or Samsung phone and want to use your favorite 3.5mm aux headphones without buying a new pair.
The FTUINL 6FT is built specifically for people who need reliable, long-distance power delivery for their Bluetooth audio gear. This isn't just a generic cable; it is a complete kit that includes a 20W USB-C charger block paired with a cord that measures approximately 6.6 feet. That extra length is a game-changer when you are setting up your audio station. Whether you are sitting by a lake bed, standing in a boat, or managing a campsite, having a cord that reaches nearly seven feet means you can place your power source far away from your sensitive electronics. You don't have to hold the plug, strain the port, or dangle a brick near your ears.
This product shines when paired with Sony equipment. The specifications list compatibility with a wide range of devices including the WH-1000XM4, WH-1000XM5, WF-1000XM5, and various SRS speaker models like the XB100 and ULT Field series. If you are an angler who relies on high-end noise-canceling headphones to block out wind noise while listening to fish-finding sonar or podcasts, this cable ensures you get full-speed charging. The 20W output promises to charge earbuds from 0% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes, which is significantly faster than standard 5V/1A adapters. In a scenario where you are waiting for a bite or transitioning between fishing spots, getting a quick top-up is essential.
However, this product is not for everyone. It is strictly a charging accessory. It does not handle audio transmission itself; it only provides electricity. If you are looking for a way to connect traditional wired headphones to a phone that lacks a headphone jack, this cable will not help you. Furthermore, it is designed primarily for devices that accept USB-C input. If your primary device uses a Lightning port or Micro-USB, this kit is useless. It is also a single-unit purchase, meaning you get one cable and one block. If you lose the block, you cannot easily swap it out for a different color or shape without buying a new set. It is a heavy-duty tool for keeping power flowing, not a multi-purpose bridge for connectivity.

The SIXSIM USB C adapter targets a very specific problem: the disappearance of the headphone jack on modern smartphones. If you own a recent iPhone, a Samsung Galaxy, or a Google Pixel, you likely have a USB-C port but still prefer the sound quality or comfort of your old wired headphones. This adapter solves that by splitting your single port into two distinct pathways. One side remains a USB-C port for Power Delivery (PD) charging, while the other is a standard 3.5mm jack for your analog headphones. This allows you to listen to music, take calls, or play games while your phone refills its battery, a feature that is critical for long days outdoors.
The engineering behind this dongle focuses on stability and clarity. It features a built-in smart chipset capable of identifying the voltage and current requirements of your device, ensuring that the charging process remains stable and does not damage your battery. The adapter supports up to 60W PD charging, provided you use a compatible PD wall charger. On the audio side, it utilizes a DAC supporting 16-bit/192kHz and ADC support for 16-bit/48kHz, which helps maintain Hi-Fi audio quality. Crucially, it claims to eliminate current noise that could hurt your ears, a common complaint when using cheap adapters. It also supports volume control and call answering directly from compatible devices, making it feel like a seamless extension of your phone rather than a clunky workaround.
Despite its utility, there are limitations you must consider before buying. The most significant restriction is that it does not support data transfer. You cannot use this adapter to connect a hard drive, a keyboard, or any other data peripheral to your phone. It is purely for audio and power. Additionally, the performance is dependent on the external charger you use. To achieve the advertised 60W speed, you must have a PD-compatible wall adapter and a matching cable; plugging it into an older, slower charger will result in slower charging speeds. The physical design is tiny, weighing only about 7.94 grams, which makes it portable but also easy to misplace. It is best suited for users who want to extend the life of their existing 3.5mm headphone collection without upgrading to expensive new Bluetooth models.
• Best for fishing → FTUINL 6FT: The 6.6-foot length allows you to charge large over-ear headphones from a distance, keeping the bulky charging brick away from the delicate ear cups while you focus on the water.
• Best for battery life management → SIXSIM USB C: Allows simultaneous charging and listening on a single port, ensuring your phone stays powered during long sessions without needing a separate charging cable.
• Best for audio purists → SIXSIM USB C: Provides a direct 3.5mm connection with Hi-Fi DAC support, avoiding the compression often found in Bluetooth codecs if you prefer wired fidelity.
• Best for convenience → FTUINL 6FT: Comes as a complete set with a block, so you don't need to hunt down your own charger to start using it immediately.
• Best for versatility → SIXSIM USB C: Works across a massive ecosystem of phones, from the latest iPhone 17 series to Samsung S26 Ultra, acting as a universal bridge for older audio gear.
• Best for durability of connection → FTUINL 6FT: A thick, 2-meter cable is less prone to fraying at the connector than a small, exposed dongle that gets plugged and unplugged constantly.
• Best for data-free environments → SIXSIM USB C: Ideal if you only need audio and power, as it simplifies the port usage without worrying about data transfer protocols.
• Best for quick top-ups → FTUINL 6FT: The 20W output is optimized for rapid charging cycles, getting your headphones back to 80% quickly during short breaks.
In my opinion, the choice comes down to whether you are trying to charge your headphones or charge your phone while using headphones. If you are heading out for a day of fishing and plan to rely on high-quality wireless headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM series, the FTUINL 6FT is the superior choice. The extra length and the included 20W block provide a level of independence and reliability that a small dongle simply cannot match. I would buy the FTUINL 6FT because the ability to place the power source further away from the noise-canceling cups prevents accidental pulls and keeps the setup cleaner in a rugged environment. However, if your primary goal is to use a specific pair of wired earbuds with a modern smartphone, the SIXSIM adapter is the only logical path forward.
