The Phantom Boots are crafted of phantom membrane, whose levitative properties are harnessed to provide enhanced aerial movement to the wearer.

The Phantom Boots grant slow falling while the player is pressing the jump button, and levitation while the player is also near the ground.

The Phantom Boots can be crafted in survival using 4 phantom membrane, an emerald, a gold ingot, and 2 feathers. The phantom membrane should be placed as if one was making boots, with the emerald and gold ingot being placed in the center and bottom-center slots respectively. The feathers should be placed above the top-most phantom membrane.

The Phantom Boots provide a wide variety of uses through its simple functionality:
The player is granted a higher, floatier jump from the ground.
By holding the jump button in the air, the player can slow their fall.
By holding the jump button directly above a non-air block, the player can gain levitation.

The Phantom Boots is the second armor item created for the Junkbox, the first being the Magic Cape.
Origin
Origin
The Phantom Boots take inspiration from a Crypt of the NecroDancer mod item, the Harpie's Grace from Tasty's Additions. Harpie's Grace in Necrodancer is a footwear item that grants levitation, faster movement, and increased damage.
While the Phantom Boots can't provide faster aerial movement, they do allow the wearer to levitate, and they technically increase attack damage by making it easier to deal frequent critical hits.
