Often Cards - Screen Time
What Screen Time Data We Access
Our app Often Cards uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework) to help you stay focused while studying. Specifically, we access:
App usage information - Which apps you choose to block during study sessions
Blocking status - Whether apps are currently blocked or unblocked
Study session timing - When you start and end focus sessions
How We Use This Data: We use Screen Time data solely to: Block distracting apps during your active study sessions Display which apps are blocked so you know what's restricted
Unlock apps after you successfully complete flashcard study requirements
Track your study progress to determine when you've earned app access
Data Storage and Privacy
All Screen Time data stays on your device - We never send app usage information to our servers We cannot see what you do in other apps - We only know which apps you've chosen to block
No tracking or analytics - Your Screen Time data is never used for advertising, analytics, or shared with third parties You control what gets blocked - You choose which apps to restrict during study sessions Permissions Required To provide this functionality, our app will request: Family Controls permission - Required to block and unblock apps on your device Screen Time API access - Required to monitor and enforce app restrictions You can revoke these permissions at any time through iOS Settings > Screen Time > Often Cards.
