Introduction:
Introduction:
To complete the structural analysis and calculations, the team needed to verify the actual plans through site inspections at the LBRDC Building in Naga City. The schedule was coordinated and approved by personnel from Puregold and LBRDC. Following the successful site visit, the team proceeded with the soil exploration and investigation report.
Soil exploration, conducted using boring tests, is critical for understanding the subsurface conditions of a construction site. It helps determine the soil's bearing capacity, classify soil layers, and identify any potential geotechnical risks such as soil settlement or liquefaction. This information is essential for ensuring that the building’s foundation is designed or retrofitted to withstand structural loads safely.
The findings from both the Structural analysis (Dynamic analysis) and the Soil Investigation were used to create detailed retrofitting design plans. These plans focus on strengthening the building’s structural components to improve its resilience to seismic activity and other dynamic forces, ensuring compliance with current safety standards and prolonging the structure's life.
