Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4. Psalm 2:7, 11-12. Isaiah 43:10-13; 44:6; 45:5-7; 46:9; 90:2. Matthew 28:19. John 10:30; 15:26. Titus 2:13.
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God ... the only-begotten Son of the Father ... and true Man ... having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was without sin. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest, Intercessor, Mediator, and Advocate. Matthew 1:18-25; 28:5-6. Luke 1:35; 24:51. John 1:1; 10:30. Acts 1:9-11. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. 2 Corinthians 5:21. Ephesians 1:20. Philippians 2:6-9. 1 Timothy 2:5. Titus 2:13. Hebrews 2:14, 17; 4:14-16; 7:25; 10:10, 12. 1 Peter 2:22. 1 John 2:1; 3:5.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, baptize, and empower the believer for godly living and service. John 16:14; 16:7-11. Titus 3:5. John 14:16-17; 14:26; 15:26-27; 16:13. Romans 8:13-14, 16. 1 Corinthians 12:13. Galatians 3:27; 5:16, 22, 25.
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God ... the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. Deuteronomy 8:3. Psalm 19:7-9. Matthew 5:18. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Hebrews 1:1-2. 2 Peter 1:20-21.
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. Genesis 1:26-27. Romans 3:9-18, 23. Titus 3:5.
We believe that the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only basis for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus, become children of God. John 1:12-13. Romans 4:25; 5:6-10; 8:14-17.
We believe in the immediate salvation of all who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. All who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are eternally secure, and nothing and no one can ever separate the believer from the Lord or cause the believer to perish. John 3:16; 10:27-29. Hebrews 13:5. 1 John 5:13.
We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation. Matthew 28:19. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head. Romans 12:4-5. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 27. Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22.
We believe in the personal, pre-millennial, pre-tribulational, imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ for His Church at the Rapture and that this blessed hope has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. Titus 2:13-14.
We believe in the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ at His Second Advent to earth to establish His Kingdom on earth and to reign in righteousness. Revelation 19:11-16; 11:15-18; 20:4.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead ... of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord ... of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. John 5:28-29. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. Revelation 20:4, 11-15.
