`Abdu'l-Bah, Bah'u'llh's son, further explains that the New Jerusalem which descends from heaven is not an actual city which is renewed, but the law of God since it descends from heaven through a new revelation and it is renewed.[33]Shoghi Effendi, head of the religion after the death of `Abdu'l-Bah, stated that specifically Bah'u'llh's book of laws, the Kitb-i-Aqdas, is the new Jerusalem.[34][35] Bah'u'llh, in the Tablet of Carmel, also states that the new Jerusalem had appeared upon the new Mount Zion, Mount Carmel.[31]

Furthermore, while some may have issue with the New Testament revelation of the Triune God; it is consistent with the character and nature of God as revealed in the Tanakh. Furthermore, the New Testament is in perfect harmony with the personalities, events and timeline of the Tanakh, accepting it in totality as Scripture. This cannot be said of the Koran where the nature of the Muslim god is quite different than that of the God of Israel as presented in both the Tanakh and New Testament (Judeo/Christian Scriptures). In addition, while the Koran references personalities and events in the Judeo/Christian Scriptures, they do not correspond with accounts of those persons and events as told in those Scriptures. Either the Judeo/Christian Scripture is wrong and the Koran is correct or it is the opposite, but they cannot all be valid. Since God does not contradict His word and there is no contradiction between the Tanakh and New Testament, the visions of Mohamed, inconsistent as they are with previous holy writ, cannot be from God. Neither can the god of Islam be the Judeo/Christian God since the character and attributes of the one worshiped within Islam are incompatible with those unveiled by previous revelation.
This non-empirical revelation contains two basic ideas: First, as the context aroundverses 59 and 60 show, Muhammad was undergoing some persecution in Mecca; the polytheistswere asking for a sign of Muhammad’s prophethood. The only sign Allah gives him is a vision.Second, this revelation parallels the one in 2:144, which permits Muhammad to take overthe Kabah shrine before he actually does. Allah blesses thelocation (Jerusalem, though the Quran never says this), as He will bless Mecca a few yearslater. It should be noted that later tradition says that while in Jerusalem Muhammad wastaken up to the seventh heaven from the Temple Mount, giving the vision extra significancefor Muslims today.
However, even though Muhammad never set foot in Jerusalem in a verifiable way and eventhough the Quran never mentions this city by name, Christians and Jews should respectlater Islamic revelation—respecting is different from agreeing on it—that saysJerusalem is a place of pilgrimage for Muslims. Fulfilling a pledge to take a non-violentpilgrimage to the Jews’ sacred city harms no one materially or politically.
Jews and Christians are specifically protected in the Quran as Peoples of the Book, reinforcing their spiritual connection to Islam by virtue of having been given revelations from God. 21:22\u201325)\r\nEven after the Romans destroyed the second Jewish Temple in AD 70 and scattered the Jewish People into exile, a remnant have lived throughout the Holy Land ever since.\r\nYet contradictory statements have left many Christians wondering, \u201cDoes the Land of Israel belong to the Jews or the Palestinians?\u201d\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_32988\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"544\"] Today in Israel, the streets are shared by Jews, Christians, Muslims and other religions. \u00a0The Arab world, however, would like to destroy Israel by flooding it with the approximately five million descendants of the Palestinians who for a variety of reasons, left Israel in 1948.\u00a0\u00a0This would\u00a0surely result in a land that is hostile to both Jews and Christians, as well as people of other faiths.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nAs bewildering and complex as the question may seem, there is a clear answer.\r\nThe Bible tells us that the Land of Israel and its Transjordan (Jordan) became an independent nation, and in 1947, the Jewish People were offered about 18% of the area of Palestine. \u00a0Although the Jewish People accepted it gratefully, the Arab of the Jordan River \u201cPalestine.\u201d\r\nIn fact, Jews who were born during the Mandate have birth certificates stating that they were born in \u201cPalestine.\u201d \u00a0Historically speaking, Palestine only came into use to identify the whole of Israel after AD 135 when the Roman Emperor Hadrian defeated the Jewish zealots in their second revolt (Bar Kokhba Revolt).\r\nHadrian imposed this term to humiliate the Jewish People by naming the Land after Israel\u2019s enemy and to negate any connection between the Jewish People and their Promised Land.\r\nSadly, this led to the whole land being called Palestine even though the name was originally associated with only the small area of Philistia within the land of Canaan, which came to be Israel.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_32527\" out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.\u201d \u00a0(Ezekiel 36:24)\r\nFollowing the establishment of the State of Israel, the Israeli government continued to use the term Eretz Israel to maintain the historic link with God\u2019s promises to His Chosen People Israel.\r\nIn 1951 and 1952, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion twice highlighted that the Jewish state was created \u201cin a part of our small country\u201d and \u201cin only a portion of the Land of Israel\u201d in official state documents (State of Israel, the\u00a0Six Day War\u00a0in 1967 is part of Eretz Israel and therefore belongs to the Jewish people.\r\nThey claimed that for ideological and religious reasons, Judea and Samaria are rightly a part of Israel, and should therefore be annexed permanently to the State.\r\nToday, the Gush Emunim party no longer officially exists, and Herut has merged with the center-right Likud party. \u00a0Founded by Menachem Begin in 1973, Likud has also been the ruling party of Prime Ministers Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu. \u00a0\r\nFurthermore, there is a wonderful diversity of opinion that is freely expressed in Israel's political sphere.\r\nWhile left-leaning party leaders often contend that territory must be relinquished in exchange for peace with the Palestinians, the ruling Likud supports the existence of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria, since\u00a0they consider that territory to be part of the historical-biblical land of Israel.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_32514\" \u201cpre-1967 borders\u201d that leave Israel with a narrow land area that cannot be adequately secured. \u00a0\r\nDemands often include the barring of Israel Defense Forces from entering, monitoring, or controlling Areas A and C of the West Bank, as well as the release of hundreds of terrorist prisoners held in Israeli jails.\r\nIn recent years, however, the Palestinian Authority has lifted its longstanding demand that Israel freeze construction of Jewish homes in East Jerusalem and the settlements as a pre-condition to peace talks.\r\n\u201cWe have not made the settlements an up-front issue this time,\u201d said Abbas\u2019s senior economic adviser and former deputy prime minister, Mohammad Mustafa.\r\nBeyond settlements and borders, the Arab world continues to demand that those who claim to be \"Palestinian refugees\u201d from 1948 rebirth of Israel, be allowed to move back to Israel.\u00a0\r\nThese refugees are now estimated to be in the millions and if allowed to gain Israeli citizenship, there would be more Arabs in Israel than Jews who could vote.\u00a0 That would lead to an Arab majority government and the Jewish State of Israel would become a Palestinian Islamic State.\u00a0\u00a0\r\nThe Arab world blames the Jews for winning the 1948 War as the Palestinians fled to Gaza, Jordan, and Lebanon.\u00a0 However, they completely disregard how they expelled approximately one million Jews living in Arab lands in 1948, confiscating their possessions and property.\u00a0 These Jewish refugees have never been compensated for their losses.\r\nPalestinians in general seek to reclaim the entire land of Israel \"from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.\"\r\nYet, God has different plans.\r\nThe only independent country that has ever existed west of the Jordan River is Israel, and Scripture calls Eretz Israel (the Land of Israel) an everlasting possession.\r\n\u201cI will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. \u00a0The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien, I will give as an everlasting very small country that is roughly the size of New Jersey in the United States or Vancouver Island in Canada. \u00a0This tiny Jewish state is surrounded by a massive sea of 22 Arab countries, and an even vaster sea of Muslim majority countries. \u00a0Most of those countries are hostile to the existence of a Jewish state.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nArabs assert that they are the descendants of Abraham through Ishmael, and are therefore entitled to the covenant land of Israel, but this is certainly not the case.\r\nNot all Arabs are descendants of Ishmael. \u00a0Not all Palestinians are descendants of\u00a0Ishmael.\r\nFurthermore, even if they were, according to Scripture, Ishmael and Abraham's other sons were not the heirs of the covenant; Isaac and his descendants were the\u00a0heirs.\r\n\"... your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. \u00a0I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.\u00a0\u00a0And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: \u00a0I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers.\u00a0\u00a0He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. \u00a0But my covenant I will establish with Isaac.\"\u00a0 (Genesis 17:19\u201321)\r\n\"Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.\u00a0\u00a0But while he was still living, he gave gifts to
