AVM is begonnen met het uitrollen van de FRITZ!OS 7.50. Deze mega update beschikt over meer dan 150 nieuwe functies en nuttige verbeteringen voor alle FRITZ!-producten. Met de gratis update kunnen gebruikers gemakkelijker snelle VPN-verbindingen opzetten, kunnen ze hun Smart Home nog veelzijdiger maken, zich beter beschermen tegen ongewenste bellers en krijgen ze betere Mesh-prestaties voor hun Wi-Fi. Bovendien krijgt het FRITZ!Box-menu een opfrisbeurt, waardoor het gebruik nog intutiever is. FRITZ!OS 7.50 brengt een reeks voordelen voor het thuisnetwerk en extra veiligheid en stabiliteit voor alle FRITZ!-producten.

Dynamische Smart Repeating brengt FRITZ!OS 7.50 meer prestaties in de Mesh Wi-Fi van het FRITZ! thuisnetwerk. Gebruikers die een FRITZ!Repeater of een FRITZ!Box als Mesh Repeater gebruiken, profiteren zo van hogere datadoorvoersnelheden en meer stabiliteit voor hun Wi-Fi-verbindingen.

Nieuw is ook de ondersteuning voor het WireGuard VPN-protocol, waardoor het nog eenvoudiger is om veilige verbindingen van het internet naar het FRITZ!Box-thuisnetwerk op te zetten. Hierdoor kunnen in een handomdraai versleutelde verbindingen worden opgezet op smartphones, notebooks of pc's met behulp van de WireGuard-app via QR-code of software. Ook het vorige VPN-protocol voor FRITZ!Box, IPSec, is door het AVM bijgewerkt en ondersteunt nu zowel IPv4- als IPv6-verbindingen.

FRITZ!OS 7.50 maakt de FRITZ! Smart Home nog veelzijdiger. Met scnes kunnen nu verschillende acties tegelijkertijd in het Smart Home worden opgeroepen. De nieuwe routines zorgen ervoor dat apparaten, scenario's en sjablonen met een if-then link automatisch worden gestart.

FRITZ!OS 7.50 is vanaf nu gratis beschikbaar voor de veelgebruikte FRITZ!Box 7590. De update wordt geleidelijk uitgerold voor andere actuele FRITZ!Box-modellen, FRITZ!Repeaters en FRITZ!Powerline-producten. Gebruikers van de FRITZ!Apps hebben al toegang en kunnen handmatig updaten naar FRITZ!OS 7.50 door te klikken op "Start Update" in de "fritz.box" gebruikersinterface of automatisch als de Auto Update-functie is ingeschakeld.

I just received the Fritz repeater 3000 from Germany. Although it is in German is okay because I have an English version of instructions. Once you are connected to the interface that is in German but is translatable. Plus if u press on the help tool then you can access the English help. That is all okay for me. One question I have is I was not able to connect the 3000 to my fritzbox 7490 as per instructions.... ie connect to power, press the connect button, wait for the fast green flashing, then go to the fritzbox 7490 and hold down the wps button for 6 secs and then you should be connected. Try as I might this fails. Any reason? I already have the 1750e repeater which is also a german version and that connected okay using the wps.

WPS is enabled of the Fritzbox. Not to worry though because it all works just fine setting up via the 3000 interface and meshing. Overall I am very pleased with the 3000. Beats me why internode, who sell the Fritzbox, dont take on the Fritz repeaters as well. S'pose it has something to do with money and training the staff to be support for this as well. Somehow I think if they provide a Fritzbox then they should go all the way and supply repeaters as well. Anyway thems my thoughts.

It sends you an email to the address that is configured under the push service, just as it does with the 7590 & 7490, with the settings file attached. That is why you have to specify in the push service to save settings and the email to send it to, but that option is not there on the 3000 repeater.

Updated my Repeater 3000 today and ran into a few problems:

1. Some type of address conflict occurred right after the update. Nothing on the 192.168.178.x network could communicate with anything else.

2. Powered off the repeater, powered on and all was well.

Is anyone else finding that after updating the repeater to 7.27 firmware they're now getting a message saying their repeater isn't meshed? I've followed the instructions and it's still saying not meshed. It all still works, just the message is annoying when looking at the mesh overview on my 7530 interface. I haven't yet checked if I can actually still connect the fritzfon at the far end of the house to the repeater despite the error message. We rarely make or receive calls any more so it's more of an annoyance than any kind of major issue.

My 3000 has been successfully wirelessly meshed to my 4060 (v7.30) for many months without reboot, yet since updating the 3000 to v7.50, it has major stability issues serving clients, and totally stops client throughput beyond the repeater after 1 or 2 days, and needs a reboot to resolve.

The main issue is with client throughput going to zero between the repeater and mesh master.

My 3000 repeater connected to my 7590 has been rock solid for years, including the update to 7.50. I have a NAS connected to the repeater and pushed hundreds of GB at full speed without any issues since the update. Perhaps try a factory reset on the repeater and start again?

AVM have confirmed that this is a mesh throughput bug in the latest 7.50 firmware release for the repeater.

There is currently no ETA on availability of beta or full release firmware updates.
