Under Water explores grief, trauma, and culpability through a family grieving the death of their young daughter. While celebrating her birthday, resentments, judgements, and secrets emerge, and nothing will be the same.

Katherine DeCoste is a poet and playwright in amiskwaciwaskihikan. Recent credits include Red Wood (New Works Festival 2019), Under Water (Nextfest 2020), and In the Middle of the Day (Leave the Lights On Series, 2020). They were a member of the 2019/2020 Citadel Theatre Young Playwriting Company, and their play Many Hollow Mercies won the Alberta Playwriting Competition Novitiate Prize in 2020.
