If you want a dedicated replacement for your Frigidaire refrigerator's Pure Air Ultra II system to eliminate kitchen odors, choose Frigidaire PAULTRA2; if you need a direct OEM-fit air filter for a Suzuki Carry mini truck engine to protect against dust and debris, choose Lucky's Fab Shop Air Filter. These two items serve entirely different machines in different environments, yet they often appear side-by-side in search results for people looking for specific filtration solutions. One is designed to keep your food fresh and your fridge smelling neutral, while the other is built to keep a small vehicle's engine breathing clean air on the road or the job site. Understanding which one belongs in your home versus your garage is the first step to making a smart purchase decision.
• Frigidaire PAULTRA2: Its biggest strength is activated carbon technology that outperforms baking soda for odor removal, but it is strictly limited to Frigidaire refrigerators with Pure Air Ultra II systems. This pick is for homeowners who need to refresh their kitchen environment without replacing the entire unit.
• Lucky's Fab Shop Air Filter: Its biggest strength is guaranteed factory-spec fitment for a wide range of Suzuki Carry models, ensuring no modification is needed, but it is not designed for household appliances. This pick is for vehicle owners who want a reliable, drop-in replacement for their mini truck's intake system.
• The Verdict: Choose the Frigidaire option for indoor air quality and the Lucky's Fab Shop option for mechanical engine protection.
This product is engineered specifically for the internal environment of a refrigerator. It is not a general-purpose filter; it is a targeted solution for units equipped with the Pure Air Ultra II filtration system. The core mechanism relies on activated carbon, which the manufacturer notes is more powerful than traditional baking soda at removing odors. If your current refrigerator smells like old onions, garlic, or spoiled leftovers despite regular cleaning, this filter is designed to tackle those airborne molecules directly inside the cooling compartment.
It fits into a very specific slot within the appliance. Installation is marketed as tool-free, requiring only the removal of plastic wrap and a simple reset of the reminder light after insertion. This ease of use makes it accessible for anyone who wants to maintain their appliance without calling a technician or wrestling with complex hardware.
Who should buy this? You should buy the Frigidaire PAULTRA2 if you own a compatible Frigidaire refrigerator and are struggling with lingering food odors. It is ideal for households where cooking smells tend to permeate the rest of the house or where sensitive family members react to strong scents in the kitchen. However, if your refrigerator does not have the Pure Air Ultra II system, or if you are looking for a filter for a freezer-only unit without this specific port, this item will not work for you.

In stark contrast to the kitchen appliance filter, this Lucky's Fab Shop unit is built for the rugged demands of automotive engines. Specifically, it targets Suzuki Carry and Every models, including the DA32T, DA52T, DA62T, DA63T, DB52T, and various V and W series variants. The primary function here is mechanical protection rather than odor control. It traps dust, dirt, and debris before they can enter the engine's combustion chamber, helping to maintain proper airflow and prevent wear on critical internal components.
The engineering focus here is on precision fitment. Labeled as a direct OEM replacement with part number 13780-77A00, it is designed to match the factory specifications exactly. This means the physical dimensions—approximately 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches—are crafted to slide perfectly into the designated air box of the mini truck. There is no need for cutting, drilling, or adapting gaskets. The installation process is described as a straightforward drop-in replacement, allowing vehicle owners to swap out a clogged or worn filter in minutes.
Who should buy this? This filter is essential for owners of Suzuki Carry mini trucks who rely on their vehicles for daily transport, delivery work, or off-road tasks where dusty conditions are common. If your current filter looks dirty, or if you are performing routine maintenance to extend the life of your engine, this is the correct component. It is not suitable for any other type of vehicle, nor can it be used in household HVAC systems or refrigerators. Its value lies entirely in its compatibility with the specific Japanese mini-truck market, offering peace of mind that the engine is receiving the clean air it requires to operate efficiently.
• Best for Odor Elimination: Choose Frigidaire PAULTRA2. Its activated carbon media is explicitly designed to neutralize food odors, a task the engine filter cannot perform.
• Best for Engine Protection: Choose Lucky's Fab Shop Air Filter. It is built to trap particulate matter like dust and dirt that would otherwise damage a vehicle's internal mechanics.
• Best for Specific Compatibility: If you have a Frigidaire refrigerator with Pure Air Ultra II, only the PAULTRA2 works. If you drive a Suzuki Carry (DA/DB series), only the Lucky's filter fits.
• Best for Ease of Maintenance: Both offer tool-free or drop-in installation, but the Frigidaire unit requires a manual reset of an electronic reminder, whereas the car filter simply snaps in.
• Best for Longevity Planning: The Frigidaire filter has a strict six-month replacement cycle for optimal results, while the car filter's lifespan depends on driving conditions and dust levels.
• Best for Senior Drivers: For seniors managing a home, the Frigidaire PAULTRA2 offers a simple way to keep the kitchen environment pleasant without heavy lifting or complex tools.
• Best for Vehicle Owners: For seniors who still drive or manage a vehicle fleet, the Lucky's Fab Shop filter ensures their mini truck remains reliable and protected from road debris.
I recommend the Frigidaire PAULTRA2 for senior drivers who prioritize a comfortable and odor-free living space. As we age, the ability to easily maintain our homes without physical strain becomes increasingly important. This filter is lightweight, requires no tools, and solves a common annoyance—kitchen smells—with a simple six-month swap. While the Lucky's Fab Shop filter is excellent for its intended purpose, it serves a mechanical need that most senior drivers might not encounter daily unless they actively maintain older vehicles. For the average homeowner looking to improve their immediate environment, the Frigidaire option provides the most tangible and frequent benefit to daily life.
No, this filter is designed exclusively for Frigidaire refrigerators equipped with the Pure Air Ultra II filtration system. Using it in a different brand or model will likely result in a poor fit and ineffective odor removal.
Yes, the filter is engineered as a direct OEM replacement with no modifications required. It is designed for easy drop-in installation, making it a quick task for vehicle owners to handle on their own.
To ensure maximum odor removal performance, the manufacturer recommends replacing the Frigidaire PAULTRA2 within six months of installation, regardless of how frequently you use the refrigerator.
No, the package includes only the air filter itself. Since it is a drop-in replacement, no tools are necessary for installation, though having basic hand tools handy is always recommended for vehicle maintenance.
