The Silver Raven had become a constant presence near the laboratory, appearing without warning and vanishing before it could ever be caught. No trap held it. No lock slowed it. It moved through the shadows as if the walls themselves made room for it.
Where others saw an omen, Dr. Kratzenberg saw opportunity.
The Raven’s ability to remain unseen awakened a dangerous idea, one born from obsession rather than reason. If such a creature could not be captured, then its power could be created. Deep within the manor, Kratzenberg altered his monster formula, introducing raven DNA in an attempt to engineer a hunter that could move as silently and freely as the bird that haunted his halls.
The experiment did not fail.
It went far beyond what was intended.
What emerged was not simply a monster, but something watchful and patient. A creature that learned the paths of darkness, slipping through the haunt without sound, appearing only when it was already too late. Feathers fused with flesh. Instinct replaced thought. The need to hunt became absolute.
They named him Draven.
Now he stalks Frightmare, unseen, unstoppable, always watching. Guests swear they feel his presence before they ever see him, a chill in the air, the sense of being followed by something just beyond the edge of sight.
Draven does not chase. He waits.
