Today was the first time I attempted the monster formula on a human subject. Dr. Kratzenberg assured me the formula was complete.
The results were not immediate. The subject began shaking violently before letting out a scream as the flesh on his face melted away, leaving only the skull beneath. He collapsed from the pain, unconscious for several hours.
When the subject awoke, something had changed. This was my first success, I named him Reaper. Reaper understands his purpose and carries it out without question. He is loyal beyond expectation and responds instantly to commands.
I have tasked Reaper with locating and capturing the Silver Raven within Frightmare. I am convinced it is the key to cheating death, and Reaper will not fail me.Â
Unknown to most, Reaper was the first subject who retained fragments of memory after transformation. Mr. Fright discovered this early and quietly began observing him.
Reaper understands death, not emotionally, but instinctively.
Mr. Fright suspects Reaper knows where souls go before they are reclaimed. This is why Reaper was chosen to hunt the Silver Raven. Not because he is loyal, but because death listens to him.
