Q: What's up with the FoREF Google Group?
A: We're using the Google Group ONLY to facilitate email communication. Gmail has a limit on the number of emails you can send in one day, and there are more than 1,200 addresses on our email list! Using Google Groups gives us an easier way to communicate with lots of people at once.
You won't be able to access or see anything except communications from FoREF in the Group. That's on purpose! All member information is kept private, and owners of the Group (the FoREF team) can only see information you've provided us (name and email address).
The hub of the campaign is this website.
Q: Is Road's End Farm a 501(c)3 non-profit? Is my gift tax deductible?
A: No. Road's End Farm is operated as a sole proprietorship and is not a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. As such, gifts made through the campaign are not tax deductible (and you will not receive a tax receipt from GoFundMe or Road’s End Farm). Gifts made through the campaign will be directed towards an account established for this current effort, and will be used for operational expenses and to sustain the Farm's future. Providing a gift through this campaign does not imply any exchange of goods or services between Road’s End Farm and the individual making the gift. We know that this means some people may not be able to donate through this campaign, and we understand.
