Welcome to FOJB
Hello & Welcome to Friends of John Blandy
We are a small voluntary group who work together to raise valuable funds for the children at John Blandy Primary School in Southmoor. We have a core committee of parents, staff and community members who work together to organise events and fundraise but just by having a child in our school, or living in our community, you are already a Friend - everyone from parents, caregivers & grandparents, to community leaders, residents and businesses owners are welcome to actively join our friendly team.
We are passionate about organising fun events and using the money to make a positive impact to our children's education and their enjoyment of school life.
For 2024 we have a particular focus on fundraising for our School Library and Playground projects.
Join us
We welcome all volunteers, with no pressure or long term commitment. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved - just let us know when you are available. You can help out on an event by event basis, attend some meetings or help with the organisation behind the scenes. We are a friendly group and are always open to new ideas. Drop us an email and we will get in touch for a chat.
