Baldwin School Updates

Sacramento Field

Here is an April 5, 2018 update from the city:

Dear friends of Sacramento Field,

We wanted to provide an update on the status of Sacramento Field as the weather starts getting warmer. As the sod for the field went in toward the end of last year, and given the expected intensity of the use of the field, it is necessary to achieve a thriving root system during the coming warm months and provide frequent watering before opening for use. Thus the remainder of the park - including the play spaces, the ball court, and the pathway around the field - will open around late June, after outstanding work items and inspections are complete, while the field will be fenced off until an official opening at the beginning of the school year. After the field areas are open, we will evaluate the types and patterns of use by the community, including school and youth groups, and we will convene discussions with the community to explore options for off leash use at the site.

Regards,
