Once you’ve been assigned an entry, please review your character’s section on the character list, and especially pay attention to the 'meta notes' column.
If you have trouble finding your character, you can search with ctrl + F (command + F on Mac).
Everyone please take the time to read your character’s article on the Omori Wiki and/or the Fandom Wiki and screenshot your character’s design to reference and colorpick. Colors don’t have to be exact to promote stylistic differences, but should be accurate and work off the baseline. Some characters (ie: Fishboy) may have an additional gallery, but defer to the in-game designs where contradicting.
Please keep the design as close to your character’s canon appearance as possible. If you’d like to add accessories or make small changes, this may be possible with mod approval. You may draw in any style you’d like — canon emulation is allowed, but not required!
If you’d like to learn more about your chosen character, we welcome you to read their full dialogue! Feel free to view your character's Foe Facts entry as well, if they have one. You don’t have to copy the pose or movement, but you can use it as inspiration if you wish.
All art entries should be three frames. Headspace lineart should be done in a color other than black. We also generally recommend coloring separately for each frame. Shading and rendering is optional based on your art style and comfort level.
Headspace & Black Space characters will go into a 621 x 942 pixel area, and Faraway characters will go into a 572 x 776 pixel area. You may use these dimensions as a guide, but as long as your art is around the right size and oriented as vertically as possible, we can make it work.
Your art may have slight animation, (as demonstrated by the in-game battle sprites), or may use a “line boil” technique, where you trace your own drawing to create differences in each frame. If you’re using the “line boil” technique, it is recommended that you make bigger linework/texture differences instead of tracing very precisely, as the small changes are harder to notice when we put your art in the final entry.
The final entries will be assembled by the mod team into a video with formatting, backgrounds, and sound. All we need from you are three transparent .png files, one for each frame.
If you would like to suggest which background we use for your character, you are welcome to. Please have this approved beforehand if you plan to use the background to affect the lighting in your piece. Otherwise, the mods will use our best discretion based on your character’s relevance and where they appear in the game.
Please have your entry completed within two months. If you need an extension, please apply for one via the Artist Extension Form, and a mod will reach out to you with the next steps. Final drawings will be due November 1st, 2025 to prepare for the 5th Anniversary release date on December 25th, 2025.
