Sidra a Lesser Deity, and owner of Valisthea. As the Daughter of Khaalida, duty always wore heavy on her. She originally ran away from home, and through a series of adventures ended up impressing the Deities and got gifted with land. As one of the first of many foals born with magic, she understands how hard that burden can be. Valisthea has become a safe place for those with overwhelming magic to come and learn, and perhaps even stay.
L144
The Temple is actually a set of ruins in which Sidra's herd has made their home. They have been slowly repairing it, but the process has been... waylaid by a few magical mishaps. It is the central place to find most of her herd, though Sidra herself tends to roam the lands.
Once a grand temple, it lays partly in ruin. The main temple area is still mostly standing, though part of the roof is missing. The rooms along the side were mainly intact, so that is where Sidra's herd took refuge. There is a large courtyard with pillars in various states of disarray, some fallen over and others missing chunks from where younger Quirlicorns used them for magical target practice. It is a lively place, where the bonfire is always lit, and magic is in every bit of the air you breathe.
The Great Forest is exactly how it sounds - a forest. It is nestled around the temple and goes through the valley to the mountains.
Towering trees that look to have stood even longer than the temple, their trunks large and wide enough to not be able to see around. There are many paths between the towering trees, and their canopy blankets the sky so that even the sun has issues passing through. It is admittedly easy to get lost, for after a while everything begins to look the same...
Much of the land of Valisthea is mountainous, towering peaks reaching for the sky. The mountains are perhaps the most dangerous area, for their many small waterways make it prone to flash floods during storms and mudslides. If you plan to scale these mountains, it's best to have a guide.
Towering peaks disappear into the clouds, with half hidden paths and dangerous summits. There are many small streams and lakes, so one does not go thirsty in these Mountains. However, food is scarce, and the amount of water flowing through makes the area dangerous in a storm. A flash flood or a mudslide is likely to catch one off guard, so it's highly recommended to have one of the residents who are familiar with the weather escort you.
The Holy Land
L234
Sidra's holy land has no known places of importance. Instead, it is a beautiful and peaceful land, full of gentle rolling meadows, fields of flowers, and gorgeous peaks. The land itself seems to be just as magical as the lesser deity to whom is it dedicated.
Baroness
Sidra, Daughter of Khaalida, is the Baroness and Lesser Deity of Valisthea. She is a gentle mare, who has grown and matured much since she left Espeor. She now helps others find and control their magic, particularly those who were born with it.
Sulien was the first other gifted Quirlicorn Sidra had met. They grew up together in Espeor, and Sulien accompanied Sidra when she left. For a guard, he is very concerned about his appearance, however he is powerful and will do much to protect those he cares for.
Lothair was at the same Solstice celebration, and met the others there. He, Sidra, Sulien, Neith and Linaeve forned the beginnings of their group, and were the original members of the herd when Sidra formed her land.
Linaeve is a gentle mare with a kind soul. She is playful and fun, and spent part of her growing years travelling between her mother, Eira, and her father, Xenon. She met the others in Torre during a Solstice, and they have been inseperable since.
While Neith wasn't gifted with magic from birth like the others of Valisthea, she nonetheless made herself a home here. The Rebellious daughter of Pandora, she serves as a diplomat for the relations between lands.
Nouriel spends his time between Valisthea, Torre, and his homeland of Izalera. Hes a studious fellow, with tons of book knowledge but not so much practical knowledge.
Silhouette is a enigmatic mare, who always seems to know things she shouldn't. Her official purpose in Valisthea is sort of a mystery, and she often disappears for long periods of time without explanation. Sometimes getting a straight answer out of her is near impossible.
Arete is the daughter of Khaalida, and half sister of Sidra. She is in Valisthea with her twin, Atalanta, to learn more about how to use her magic. Arete is the more scholarly of the two.
Atalanta is the daughter of Khaalida, and half sister of Sidra. She is in Valisthea with her twin, Arete, to learn more about how to use her magic. Atalanata is the more ready for adventure of the pair.
Phoebe is the daughter of Sidra, and is a fellow apprentice in Valisthea. She is learning much about her magic and how to handle it, alongside her friends.
Tanwen is here to learn more about her magic, before she travels to Phaedra to continue her learnings.
Vivek is learning more about his inborn magic here, before he continues on to learn in Torre.
Akos is here to master his inborn magic like the others, but is planning on staying in Valisthea once he is done to become a Guard.
Iridiana is among the newest apprentices learning to master her magic. She has a terrible fear of the dark, so seeing her any other time than daylight is rare.
Keyne is among the newest apprentices, and is learning to master his magic.
Miyu is among the apprentices, and certainly has terrible jokes to spare for the others. His two heads are rarely in agreeance.
Sonore is among the younger apprentices, barely out of foalhood. He is impressionable and goofy, but tries to take his studies seriously.
Edur and his sister Enya are both learning in Valisthea, almost as if it is a boarding school. When there are no classes they return home to the Windy Region with their parents.
Enya and her brother Edur are both learning in Valisthea. While Edur enjoys returning home, Enya likes the freedom that being away from her family provides.
