That said, if you backed up the old phone, restoring that backup to the new phone will put anything that was in the camera roll into the camera roll on the new one... If the new phone is not large enough to accomodate all of the data that was on the old phone, then you're out of luck. Restoring a backup is all or nothing.

The question was how to restore from iPhone backup. Not from Dropbox. If the OP was not using Dropbox your solution is useless. If he/she was using Dropbox in iPhone AND using the Camera Upload option then he/she can move them from Dropbox to a folder or album and sync them back to iPhone but not in Camera Roll. As kiltedTim says the Camera Roll is a temporary place to save your photos and Videos.

There is an app in app store called drop2roll, just instal the app into your phone and follow the instruction, it's very easy and after you can put all the photos you want directly to camera roll......

Overs the years I've used Dropbox to backup my pictures and videos. However I recently got a new iPhone, and I want to move all my photos/videos back onto my iPhone. From what I can tell, the best way to do this is using iCloud Photos.

I have an old iPhone X, with some of the pictures/videos still on. These pics/videos works perfectly with iCloud Photos across all devices. However I didn't sync my new phone with iCloud Photos, before I had it repaired. So I'm relying on my Dropbox backup to restore data.

got new desktop with same issue in windows 10. i "cut" the 'camera roll' and 'saved pictures' folders then "pasted" them into a removable flash drive - it seems to work (they did reappear when system updated to windows 10 creators). i repeated the cut/paste and restarted - so far so good - no camera roll and saved pictures folders

Over the past decade, mobile-phone cameras have changed how photographs are made, used, and looked at. While the camera once functioned chiefly as a tool for preserving the past, today people use mobile phones to share their visual experience in real time and with unprecedented intimacy. This exhibition explores what happens when artists are partnered with other artists and the pairs engage in a visual dialogue using only their phones.

The Met commissioned 12 artists to participate in the project, all of whom were asked to invite another artist to be his or her conversation partner for a five-month period. From November 2016 to April 2017, the participants sent still images and brief videos back and forth in a game of pictorial ping-pong. They were asked not to write messages or captions and to refrain from sharing their images on social media. Otherwise, the content and frequency of communication was determined by the artists themselves.

I took a picture with my camera - not realizing that I didn't have my SD card in. I do not have the cord to transfer photos onto the computer. Is there any way I can put the picture from the camera memory onto the SD card? Is there a transfer option for this on the camera? Worried because now the picture is just "stuck" on my camera :( Help.

the copy option is found when you go into look at your pictures and then hit the "Menu" button. The "Copy" option is then found in there and you will be prompted to choose weather you want so copy from the camera storage to the sd card or vise versa.

April, I would try to insert a memory card into the camera, then go to camera menu. There should be an option Copy, select copy and transfer images from the internal memory to the memory card. Hope this helps, good luck.

this is not an answer to your question. sorry, but i just want to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! oldturkey03. you just made my night. thought that my pictures were stuck on my camera but thanks to you they are now on my memory stick!

Thank you so much for your helpful suggestion. I had the same situation as Lisa with my camera as I forgot to put the SD card in. Thanks, Lisa for asking the question! Old Turkey, it's been over a year since the original post, and I needed this advice tonight. I'm glad that I read your suggestion, and was able to save 24 precious photos that were on my camera!

Hello, i have aproblem with my micro sd card and my LG G6 mobile. Yesyerday I tried to restart my mobile. Suddenly all my pictures and videos on card were gone. Weird. After some minutes of waiting I tried to restart again. But still said damaged sd. I went to storage. Just chose the sd card and this rare lg began to sort of format the card without asking a confirmation. So. I immediately took the card out of lg. Tried in a computer to see if something is on the cardx but hopelessly nothing on it. To try if the card is realy damaged or not i put it again on my lg. Took a pic. That worked. Again out of mobile. Does anyone have solution for me please to gain my pics back? , i still have. Thumbnails of pics on my lg. I would really appreciate if someone could help me on this. Thanks in advance.

I have a Canon Powershot SD 790 IS. When I plug the camera in, nothing shows up in "Files" like I have read in other forums. I have turned the camera on and off while plugged in and have also tried turning it on before plugging it in, but nothing pops up.

I have just bought a CHROMEBOOK 13. I have a Nikon D5100 camera and I am trying to get the photo`s on to the chromebook ? The sb card from my camera is too big to go into the card port ....any suggestions?

Photos and videos captured with the built-in camera or webcam are saved by default to the Camera Roll folder. If you get an error message that says your camera roll is missing (0xA00F4275) when you try to take a picture or video with the Camera app in Windows 10, try the following solutions, in the order listed.

Look to see what's listed under New photos and videos will save to. This is usually a name with a disk drive letter, such as This PC (C:) or, on mobile, This device. If pictures and videos are being saved to an external device, make sure that device is connected.

Excellent post. I understand some tough stuff on different blogs everyday. Usually it is to study the content using their company writers and stimulate some rehearsals from their store. I'd rather use something with the content on my weblog if you don't mind. Naturally I'll provide you with a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing. see my website

I remember that on note 4, camera app there was a feature of pictures in pictures, when taking a picture you can have both front facing camera and back camera on. Is it still a feature of the camera app?

@krazy_loco You can do that by using Director's view. Open the Camera and click More. Then Select Director's view. It will capture a view using both front and back cameras. Then you can just grab a still from the video.

Note:  Connection through a USB hub or other USB devices, such as printers or keyboards, is not supported and operation isn't guaranteed. Connect the camera directly to a USB port on the computer.

I want to be able to present the camera picker, and take multiple pictures before dismissing the modal view. I would also like to display how many pictures the user has taken before the view is dismissed. Is this possible? I'm aware that I would have to use an overlay for the image count, but I don't know how to take multiple pictures before dismissing it. I can't seem to find any information on it. Thanks.

Are there any camera apps, or any other methods, where I can take low resolution images? My search of Google Play indicates almost all camera apps aspire to take the biggest, sharpest, highest resolution pictures possible.

If Nikon Transfer 2 does not start automatically, confirm that the camera is connected and then launch Image Capture (an application that comes with macOS) and select Nikon Transfer 2 as the application that opens when the camera is detected.

When the camera is connected to an optional WT-7 wireless transmitter, the Wireless transmitter (WT-7) option in the setup menu can be used for connection to computers or ftp servers.

Use the WT-7 for connection to Ethernet networks and for more reliable connections to wireless networks. With Camera Control Pro 2 (available separately), the camera can be controlled remotely and pictures saved directly to the computer as they are taken.

I first became interested in storms when I was a boy growing up in Texas, the only state in the US that experiences tornadoes, hurricane and blizzards on a regular basis. I built a scale model of a supercell thunderstorm inside a clear, plexiglass box using cotton and a light bulb for lightning, the entry that won first place in the weather category at our local science fair. I got permission from my mother to climb onto our roof and build a weather station. And, when I was 12, I took my first storm photo. A big, fat bolt of lightning shot on a Kodak rangefinder through the window in our kitchen.

Storm subjects tend to be dark rather than bright. This may sound obvious, but know that storms can sometimes be exceptionally bright when sunlit. Given the fact that low light is more common, a camera and lens that performs well in that environment is generally preferred.

Naturally, in low light a tripod can be helpful. However, I rarely use a tripod for general storm photography because they are bulky and slow, and tend to shake in the wind. Instead, I use a fast lens/camera combination handheld.

Another device you will need is something to activate your shutter remotely so the camera continues to remain steady. You can use a smart phone remote app or a dedicated remote trigger for this. Use the one you trust most.

whanever I take any picture from 'Camera' component, ater taking the picture, its automatically starts displaying in a rotated state. If I take a picture of , saa , a Cup, in upright position, after I click and save(enter) a pictue, App Inventor shows it in a rotated state (90 degree rotated). It happens with all the still pictures I take. How can I fix it???
