We believe that there is no better way for youths to become involved with kart racing than with our youth racing league! The annual series is affordable, safe, accessible, and is intended to serve as an introduction to racing. As the season progresses, drivers are able to use their experience to continuously improve their performance, and our timing system provides objective results that can be compared to previous races. We are proud of our youth kart league and are confident that you will not be disappointed with it!

During the series, each driver will participate in a Mini Grand Prix format race, consisting of a qualifying session to determine the starting order for the final race, and then that final race for track position. In the final round of the season drivers will compete in a full Grand Prix format race, which includes a practice session, qualifying session and 12 lap final race. Our 12-round series provides participants with the opportunity to experience the thrill of wheel-to-wheel racing, allows for extensive seat time, and rewards top finishers with prizes and trophies. How does everyone balance ski racing costs, education and other opportunities (e.g. other sports or other things to expose their kids)? I have 3 kids in club racing with 1 racing for their school's team. there are so many other possibilities between ski academies, camps, extra ski days etc. We are a one income family, but the plan is for my spouse to work once the kids start going to college. Sending them to a ski academy would accelerate that by 4 years. Are those places worth it (e.g. kids typically perform well enough to get a really good scholarship), or should i just stick to the club racing and save my money for their actual college tuition one day when they most likely stop ski racing. My kids might be good enough to ski at the collegiate level, but is that actually worth it in the grand scheme of things? We have coaches and friends that we can talk to, but most are still in the kool-aid phase of the ski racing culture, so i'd like to hear more from parents or adults who have kind of seen the whole cycle play out and what was actually worthwhile in your point of view after your kids stopped ski racing. I know for all of my kids so far, they have grown in maturity and discipline in a lot of great ways but at what point is the money spent no longer worth the tangible or intangible benefits? They all have tons of fun with the sport and their friends but at what point was the fun not worth the costs for you anymore or when did you start thinking twice about paying for this camp or this race or whatever was at that next level?

Many camels are specially raised for racing. They train on treadmills and in swimming pools. Generally, camels begin their racing career at two or three years of age and race until they are eight or nine. A mature racing camel can reach speeds of 40 miles (64 kilometers) per hour.

People on the Arabian Peninsula have been racing camels for hundreds of years. For most of that time it was a traditional activity that was practiced by the local population. I am writing this article based on a disturbing experience from last March that made this problem so glaringly evident to me. The Vail Rec District is a proud supporter of the Eagle County trails and the organizations that work hard to maintain them. It is important to remember that riding and racing on world class trails is a privilege and our trails do not build or maintain themselves. This year during the 2023 Bloch & Chapleau Mountain Bike Series, riders can earn an additional 25 points towards their overall series total if they participate in one trail work event prior to August 29. Kids Driving School: (Ages 8 and up) Kids receive detailed instructions on the basic aspects of racing. We cover flag definitions and driving techniques as well as how to safely operate our racing karts. Race lines and braking points are emphasized.

Pro-Am participant, volunteer, and 2022 Kart 4 Kids Ambassador Jack Chmura describes how the Kart 4 Kids Concussion Initiative impacted him directly. Chmura suffered a concussion from a racing accident in 2021 when he was 14 years old.

Kids need a Plan B. Very few young racers will actually be able to make a career out of racing. They may have a lot of fun, make great friends and learn valuable life lessons, but turning racing into a paying profession is an extreme long shot. They need a back-up plan, and that starts with doing well in school and learning a trade or profession.

But in reality nothing any young kid does on any given day is going to land them a professional ride or any extra support of any type, and the only people who really care about where a kid finishes already know the riders involved. In my opinion, a lot of kids are better off racing and honing their skills as part of a club weekend, without a big crowd and without the self-imposed (or parental) pressure that comes from racing during a pro race weekend.

One thing that was I completely unprepared for, was discovering that when your own kid does well in racing, it feels 10 times better than anything you ever accomplished in racing yourself.
