The study, which reviewed nearly $850 billion in credit card transactions over a four-year period, explored the impact of physical stores on emerging retailers, as well as established retailers, in categories including apparel, big box specialty, cosmetics, department stores, discount department stores, and home stores. Halo 2 emerged almost a full decade ago into a gaming world, it's worth remembering, very different from our own. I knew Halo 2's multiplayer was likely to be good because its LAN-only predecessor in Halo: Combat Evolved had inspired me and a group of my friends to learn the basics of network cabling and regularly rearrange our houses into wired battlegrounds. The promise of doing this online was huge - Halo 2 wasn't just the reason I bought my first Xbox Live subscription. It was the reason I got broadband. It dragged me and a generation of gamers through the rabbit hole and into the bittersweet connected wonderland beyond.
The result was a compelling game that called us online every night in what for most of us was a new pattern of play. Halo 2 introduced us to a new vocabulary, and a new kind of anguish. As the first of its kind - a truly mass-market online console shooter - the game was beset by foul play. We learned about bridging, standby buttons, the BXR glitch, swipe sniping, the noob combo, and many other cheats and exploits that ran the gamut from canny advantage-taking to outright crookery. A hard-edged ranking system gave competition meaning, but it also meant players were willing to destroy the basis of that competition in order to boost the number that defined them. Sometimes entire nights were spent waiting for a real game against an evenly matched team who weren't cheating. Sometimes that game never came.

Mom-mom, I made my own hair halo (bangs) on a head band and wore it under scarves, caps, whatever, just to feel like a little better about the hair loss. Your local American Cancer Society may provide a free wig. Some folks are able to get insurance to pay for one also. I finally bought one, to wear when I met with clients. Otherwise, the scarf was fine. I never lost all of my hair, but when the majority of it finally turned loose, I looked like a molting parrot, (LOL) then cut the rest of it off. We all have to deal with it that works best for us. I think I lost most of mine around the 17th day after my first chemo. The social worker at your medical facility may have resources also. I believe there is a website that provides a free scarf/cap for BC patients, but I can't remember what it is. Best wishes!
I planned to do it, I even went to where they make them in Tampa. I cut my hair how they said to and had it all prepared to send but ultimately decided not to send my hair in and have it made. I liked the wig I ordered better than I expected to so I didn't think I needed it and decided to order a ponytail halo through them instead. Love it.

Original Xbox Live servers were shut down in 2010, sadly sunsetting online suites for many classic games, but a replacement service is now reviving arguably the console's premiere multiplayer experience: Halo 2.
Insignia is the free and unofficial OG Xbox Live replacement that has restored online functionality for almost 200 older games. The service requires you to jump through a few hoops to get it working on an original Xbox console, as detailed on its website, which probably explains why there are just over 10,000 registered users and only 13 players online at the time of writing.
Next up on the online game preservation waitlist is Halo 2, which is coming to the service later today with ten multiplayer playlists: Team Slayer, Skirmish, Training, Snipers, Hardcore, SWAT, Double Team, Rumble Pit, H2 Challenge, and my personal favorite, Big Team Battle. The shooter launches on Insignia in Public Beta at 8pm GMT and 4pm EST.
Halo 2 was a landmark release two decades ago and it's still just as hilariously chaotic today thanks to some unshackled physics mayhem that sends tanks flying off the map, for instance. The game is still playable through normal means today via Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but I'm happy to hear that online functionality is being revived for the shooter's original hardware.

The sonographic finding of the gallbladder halo sign has been reported to be helpful as a marker for anaphylaxis (AX) in dogs since their shock organ (where most mast cells reside) is their liver and gastro-intestinal tract (unlike humans and cats that have the lungs as their shock organ). The massive histamine release causes acute hepatic congestion due to constriction of hepatic venous outflow (Quantz et al. JVECC 2009). Of course, other signs are helpful for the diagnosis of AX including acute gastrointestinal signs (vomiting and defecating) with collapse, an elevated lactate, an elevated alanine transaminase (ALT). and hemoconcentration. We present a new approach for retrieving halo-free phase contrast microscopy (hfPC) images by upgrading the conventional PC microscope with an external interferometric module, which generates sufficient data for reversing the halo artifact. Acquiring four independent intensity images, our approach first measures haloed phase maps of the sample. We solve for the halo-free sample transmission function by using a physical model of the image formation under partial spatial coherence. Using this halo-free sample transmission, we can numerically generate artifact-free PC images. Furthermore, this transmission can be further used to obtain quantitative information about the sample, e.g., the thickness with known refractive indices, dry mass of live cells during their cycles. We tested our hfPC method on various control samples, e.g., beads, pillars and validated its potential for biological investigation by imaging live HeLa cells, red blood cells, and neurons.

Our halo correction method is applicable to a broad range of specimens, objective numerical apertures, and magnifications. For example, Fig. 4a,b show fibroblasts and Fig. 4c,d display the neurons imaged at 20x/0.65 NA, respectively. Figure 4e,f shows HeLa cells at 40x/0.75 NA and Fig. 4g,h are the neurons at 63x/1.4 NA. For all cases, the halo is suppressed while maintaining the details in the original QPI, e.g., cell bodies, dendrites, axons and their terminals, etc., which indicates that our method is scale invariant and universally applicable.
