This is an FYI - I recently acquired a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S23) and was disappointed when I tried to download the Accordance app and was not able to due to the newer version of the Android OS on my phone. However, a few days after getting it, I thought that perhaps I could still download from Accordance - Support - Download and at least see if it works. It works great!

I used to keep a Samsung phone around for screenshots when I worked for the company, but I sold it after I quit. Anyway, I do still have my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8, so I removed Accordance to test out what you're describing. Then, I went to the Play Store and was able to reinstall it without issues. Here are my specs. Is there anything different from my installed OS and related applications from yours, @Vaughn Arthur and @coffeedave?

I have had an issue with syncing to Dropbox for a long time now. It used to work. I'm on Android 9 and based in the United Kingdom. I miss not being able to have my highlights on my phone. It would be great if this could be fixed. I have been waiting for a fix so glad to see this issue has been highlighted, if you will excuse the pun!

I'm in Australia and have got the app installed on my mobile. I've done a search on google store using another Android phone that I have and I can see the app advertised. I'm not sure if the issue mentioned earlier is a device issue affecting certain regions.

In relation to syncing, I do not think that the app has had WiFi syncing. I've only seen Dropbox syncing and that too is not working well. When I hit sync, the sync icon keeps rotating and I have to force close the app to use it again. Dropbox syncing from my windows laptop to my Android phone does not work.

I want to sync E-sword between my Android phone and tablets. I have tried backing up files from the tablet I have the most notes and highlights on to my Google Drive and then importing those files from the google drive to my phone but it doesnt work. Any ideas?

When importing the files I am not given an option on what directory to save the import to. I ask Esword customer sport and they said that you cannot point or direct an upload like you can if you are synking a windows desktop version. Have you sync between android devices successfully? It is similar on my iOS iphone, using the Logos app, where only my top 3 prioritized dictionaries appear, and I don't have the option to expand to all 20 dictionaries I have on my desktop. But the top 3 prioritized dictionaries are enough when mobile, and this is more than I get with an interlinear.

I, of course, grabbed it then and have been enjoying the benefits of having the KJV and 2011 NIV available for offline reading. A few days ago I purchased a new phone. As a result I had to reinstall my old apps. For Android's the Bible app, my downloaded bibles were stored in the /sdcard/.youversion/ folder on the old phone. This folder contained the contents of my micro sdcard.

As I mentioned, the Bible app on the RAZR M was not picking up my downloaded KJV and NIV bibles. I found that the reason for this is that my old phone places the external storage in /sdcard, while the RAZR M places the internal storage in /sdcard. The RAZR M actually places external storage (my sdcard) in /mnt/external1; or, it did for me at least. I didn't start the RAZR M up with an sdcard inside so perhaps this only happens in certain situations.

So what does this mean? Irrespective of the brand and make of the Android device, whether Tablet or Phone, it doesn't matter: what is downloaded on the phone will run on the tablet, and what is installed on the tablet will run on the phone. In other words (and you can't make this up because its true), when it comes to Android software, its developed to run on all devices. The only thing that e-Sword Android won't run on are devices prior to the Nougat version. Anything from and after that version to the present and beyond, you're fine.

I have e-Sword for my Android phone. On BibleSupport.com I downloaded a commentary in the i format. Now, that file is located in the download folder on my phone. How do I get e-sword to find or recognize it? Thanks so much for your help (in advance.)

You need to import the module into e-Sword in order for it to be useable

1. Open e-Sword for Android and look the for three line menu icon at the top of the e-Sword screen and tap it. This will open the e-Sword menu.

2. Scroll down the menu until you see the Import option on the menu and tap it. This will activate e-Sword's import function and will open your android download folder

3. Tap the module to import it into e-Sword

Once you have bought and paid for e-Sword Android for 1 (one) device, e.g., a Samsung Galaxy Fold smart phone; then that's it! You, then don't have to pay for it again if you were to install it on another Android device, i.e., an Android Galaxy Tablet. As where with Apple devices that is not the case. With Apple iOS devices, you have to pay for e-Sword LT for your iPhone, and if you also have an iPad, you have to pay for e-Sword HT. And then if you have an Apple PC/Laptop, you have to pay for e-Sword X.

I have Esword for all my gadgets. I have it for Iphone, Ipad, Android and PC. I used to use apple for a while for work, but was glad to see it come to Android, pure awesomenessssssssss to have the best bible app on android.

I'm trying to find a much better tablet than the Android YQ10 which I just returned to Amazon. Do you just have your Ipad? I know those are exceptional but I can't afford to pay for one I can afford the androids, probably end up with a Samsung I'm thinking. I've been on Androids, PCs, for a lifetime, I'm almost 71 and doubt I could handle anything but Android. I hope I feel "awesome" about e-sword as it is frustrating in a way because first I had to buy an NKJV, second I can't get the Strong's #s on anything but the KJV+ and I'm just hoping e-sword will add the Recovery Bible Version (Watchman Nee & Witness Lee) as I find it so amazing, and I believe accurate, although I am very new to really digging deeper into the bible.

If you want to use your app while driving tap on the Driving mode icon. The larger play button and skip back button help you play or go back in case you missed something. The icon with the headphone inside a bookmark icon creates a bookmark so you can quickly go back to the spot in the book.

Some permissions that could be considered dangerous may not put you in harm's way -- like when a book-reading app asks permission to save a book to your phone so you can read it offline. But sometimes these dangerous permissions include unnecessary requests for more information than needed. Those red flags alert you to an app's overall security: That book-reading app doesn't need to read your list of phone calls, pinpoint your exact location or change your system settings in order to function, does it?

These six popular apps aimed at a Christian audience talk to your phone far more than is necessary, potentially eliciting sensitive information. Here's what you need to know before letting them onto your Android phone. 0852c4b9a8
