@RobinV1959 Usually updating your Flash app will help with a black screen. Have you already whitelisted this game? You could try adding pogospike-prod.pogo.com as an exception to see if that will allow Mahjong Escape to finish loading.

When I get a white screen while in Solitaire Gardens, I right-click on the game screen in order to display the Flash Settings Panel. Just doing this is normally sufficient enough to allow my game to load. Additionally, when you get a black screen again, perhaps try clicking on the game screen & open the game in a new private (incognito) window. I hope this helps you to get back into the game. Forum help EA phone call suggestions Ive tried every browser and even 3 different computers.Cleared caches updated everything and still this is the ONLY game doing the black screen problem. I have always played this game with no issues. Could not complete challenges I was in the middle of. I have given up. Very frustrated. Thank You to all who helped!

So here it is over a month and mahjong escape still goes to black screen. I have spoke with EA twice and did all they suggested. They were sending it to the higher ups the tech said. Still have heard nothing and Mahjong Escape is still the only game doing this for me on all browsers and 3 different computers. Contemplating not renewing after 12 years.

update 2: so i guess the bare skeleton of the flow of gameplay is implemented. right now the three opponent players just discard a tile at random after they draw. you might as well do that too, since I haven't yet begun the process of implementing any of the actual rules of mahjong. (I'm sitting at 3309/8192 tokens right now, but my code is pretty messy.)

If I get far enough I'll end up having to write a rudimentary AI for the three opponents, but that's seriously a stretch goal. (Some other strategies to increase tile recognizability might include replacing the character tiles with arabic numerals, replacing the wind/season tiles with simple shapes like a star/tree/etc., stuff like that). From what I can tell, the standard mahjong solitaire formation is 15 tiles across at the widest, so you'd be able to get it all on screen with 4px to spare on either side. It could be a fun project. Bonus points if you include animated backgrounds and cool screen effects whenever you clear a layer.
