I have desktop PC (Windows 10) with a large hard drive and all my files on it including my entire music collection. I also have a nice small laptop (Windows 10) for taking to meetings which has a significantly smaller hard drive. I use Dropbox plus to sync my work files between the two units but have recently started moving my music onto dropbox so that I can listen to it whilst away from home. However, given the smaller hard drive on the laptop I don't want dropbox to download the music to the laptop as I need the space for my work files. How do I tell Dropbox not to download these music files to my laptop but let me access them when I am online and leave the music files available offline on my PC?

I can see that I can remove them from the sync for the laptop through the settings/preferences icon on the taskbar icon but this means they would have to accessed through the website amking them difficult. The advertising implies that they can be synced but not downloaded.

I've tried redownloading the app to see if that would help and that just made it worse. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the local files on my phone?

While a lot of people stream music nowadays, it is vital to know how to put music on a flash drive, especially if you want to transfer high-fidelity files or music not available on streaming services. In this guide, we explore where you can find and download music to a USB for free or transfer existing files from your computer.

So, how do I download music from my computer to my USB? When performing your download, your computer will ask you where you want to save the files. By default, it will probably have a Downloads folder where files go. At this stage of the download process, you can change the destination folder.

Make sure that your USB stick or thumb drive is connected for flash drive music downloads, and navigate to the drive instead of your Downloads folder. When you perform the download, the files will then go to this destination.

There is a chance that the files might be in a zipped format, so you may need to unzip your flash drive music downloads. Most machines have an inbuilt program to do this, so you can simply right-click on the file and select Unzip.

There are a number of options and music websites for downloading your favorite tunes, either directly to a flash drive or to transfer them afterward.

Step 3. Navigate to the music files you want to copy. This assumes that you have already downloaded the files. If you have recently downloaded them online, the files may be in the Downloads folder.

You can press Ctrl + A to select all the files you want for the USB download music process.

5. After you finish downloading your music, the songs in the playlist will be available offline. A gray downward-facing arrow will appear in the bottom right corner of the downloaded playlist or album's card in the Your Library screen.

Most places might discourage using an iPod at work, but if you regularly save notes or meetings in audio format then keeping one around is useful. Using a Windows or Mac laptop, you can transfer these files onto your iPod through Apple's iTunes application. This application, meant specifically to sync files to an iPod, will take your audio files and download them to the iPod so you can listen to them later at any location.

Click and drag the files over the "Library" section. A green "+" symbol appears over the section when you roll the mouse cursor over it with the files. Release the mouse button to import the music files into iTunes.

Select the music you want to sync to the iPod in the "Artists," "Genres," "Albums" or "Playlists" sections. Alternatively, you can check the "Entire Music Library" to import all music files in iTunes. iTunes then loads the music into your iPod.

Yes, it is possible to use streaming services (which of course is what the majority of non-DJs do for their music nowadays) as your day-to-day music source, even to DJ with. Indeed, in our DJ courses we recommend that every student DJ subscribe to a streaming service, if only for the purpose of music discovery. And DJing with streaming services is lots of fun and has its own advantages, too. 0852c4b9a8
