Having the same issue on an iphone. Ios up to date, app up to date, have uninstalled app and done clean reinstall, redownloaded songs several times now. A good handful of songs just cut out after 9 seconds on wifi and data. Been happening for months now
To answer your question about how long it would take before it would stop, it really varies. I was doing my troubleshooting for this post (and with the support case) with Sgt. Pepper. Until this last play where it played through, it would pause anywhere from the end of track 2 (~3 min) to track 5 (~13 min).

Hi, I've been using pandora for years, and I just got a galaxy s10e. Pandora worked fine for the first week, however suddenly it only plays two songs then stops and wont play again until I close the app and reopen it. Then it does the same thing, 2 songs and stops. Help?
I have seen listeners mention a similar issue with Samsung Galaxy devices in the past. This may be related to your Sleeping Apps setting. This setting can cause the Pandora app to stop / pause when it is backgrounded.
For the past couple of weeks a whole bunch of the songs from my iTunes library stop early and skip to the next song (just as if it was at the end of the song). Although the point where it skips varies for each song (for one song it is 2:32, another is 2:46), it will always skip at the same point for each song.
This problem also persists when the music is synced across to my iPod touch running 3.0. Listening to the same troublesome songs in my iPod causes them to end prematurely. However, I can listen to the whole song using Quicklook, so the problem must be with my iTunes library or something.
I had exactly this problem. I checked the stop time. It was 1) not checked, and 2) it was the correct time for when the song should have stopped. The song was stopping about 10 seconds before. I had another song from the same album that also stopped short.
I deleted the songs from the library, leaving the files where they were (not putting them in the recycle bin). Then I dragged those two songs back into iTunes so they would be reinserted into the library.
in iTunes there is an option under preferences (tab 'playback') named 'Crossfade' See whether it is turned on. If so, turn it of and check again if songs stop early.I was confronted with this when I downloaded a new version of iTunes, even though the setting was not set before.
This was on a PC, and the solution I found was to stop itunes, delete the itunes .itl file, restart itunes and let it rebuild the library from the xml file (make sure that the xml file exists and is up to date before doing this).
I did this after checking there was nothing wrong with the files themselves (if I re-added a file, it was fine), and also checking that no 'odd' options had been set on the files (e.g. a particular stop time).
I fixed iTunes ending songs early on Windows 10 by exporting my library as an XML file and re-importing it as a playlist. This had the benefit of preserving my song metadata, playlists, and folder structure.

They all worked fine but, suddenly, one in my home gym started doing this: while streaming Pandora, it will stop streaming music the very moment screen saver turns on. I could not find any way to disable screen saver, says "Roku default". It takes about 2 songs, then TV screen goes black with digital clock on it and playback stops.

It earlier today "lost" my personalized settings (libraries, such -- everything still existed in my Spotify account but Roku's Spotify channel acted like I had no libraries, liked songs, playlists, etc) and I had to clear cache to get it to play again, but then we're back where we started, and after two songs it just freezes up before going to the next song. I've deleted the channel, cleared the cache, system restarted, hard rebooted the roku stick and the network router, and I'm still experiencing this trouble.
Glad I could help! Haha - I haven't tested if it works without making the seperate playlist and instead just playing an individual song - but I found that creating a playlist labelled specifically helps the recognition and stops playing other playlists that are similar!
I have a Vault 2 and have ripped a large number of CDs. When I play them, a number of songs will play fine, then I start to hear dropouts, until at some point the music stops altogether. Nothing I do (change albums, stop and try again) seems to help. I have to unplug the unit to get it to re-set, but the problem persists.
Okay so Audirvana has this recurring bug and it is still not resolved. I have always had it through all its updates and so have others. The result for me was that after playing about 40 songs, not one was truncated. I have to assume that by now I would have had at least 15 songs cut out at the end. So that may have been the bug for me for the last 6 months. Extremely frustrating.
However unlike " williambillcard" another member with this problem, I am listening to songs off my server. While he is still having the problem through Qobuz. I also want to subscribe to Qobuz shortly and would hate to have this experience through Audirvana.
