The 2nd Annual Gospel Fest Workshop and Performance at Memorial Church will be led by Rev. Dr. Jason Thompson (PhD, Northwestern University). Thompson ascribes to a belief that the core values of equity, inclusion, and belonging are central to and indivisible from intellectual and artistic excellence. This belief has been a connective thread across his more than 20 years in the profession as a public school music teacher, university professor, community teaching artists, and administrator for equity and inclusion.

The Gospel Performance Program offers ensemble rehearsal, technique-in-performance classes, and gospel history discussions. Classes will be led by Berklee faculty and visiting artists who are trained in the gospel tradition.

Performed by London's Get Gospel choir, Soulful Gospel Vocals gives you all the multitrack vocal elements for five complete gospel tracks - verses, choruses, and ad libs - including full vocal mixes and a lyrics sheet. The performances are superb, but as ever with this sort of vocal library, we're not really sure what its intent is beyond reconstructing the songs to no apparent end, or getting creative with the scissors tool for house cut-ups and the like, in which case the songs are irrelevant.
