Hi mbrubeck - I know that HTML5 is supposed to be the way forward, but I'd like to echo brysil's thoughts. Android is becoming hugely popular and there's many web sites that will still use flash for their content for the next few years. Most of the sites I visit, for my job and for pleasure, use flash. Though the browser that comes with android already supports flash, I'd REALLY like to use Firefox as the snyc is great and it would make life so much easier. If you guys would pursue getting a flash plug-in, I think Firefox would soon become THE browser for Android.

I really don't mind not having flash on my mobile phone. I mean what's so bad about having to play videos in the youtube app. And then who needs flash games when we have the whole android market. As controlling as apple and wp7 are, they had a good reason for keeping flash off of their phones. It just makes everything laggy, and who wants those flash ads anyway?
have a new Acer Aspire laptop on Windows 8.1, running the latest Firefox as default browser. On trying to open Al Jazeera in Firefox I get a window that says I need to download Adobe Flash Player, screenshot 2.I click on that and get the Adobe download page, screenshot 3. I click on install now and get the prompt to save install_flashplayer, screenshot 4. I click on save file and then go to my downloads folder and it has the installer icon there, screenshot 5. However when I then double click on it nothing more happens. A window headed Adobe Flash Player Installer with no content appears, screenshot 1.And nothing more happens.However if I try and download Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer I get a message that it is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8, screenshot 6. Please advise.
thanks, but my question really was that how do you install flash player. one of the method suggested is to install google chrome on to the tv. one of the poster has managed to do it so i wanted to know how. I will appreciate if someone can guide.
And remember, the fact that a third party has kludged a way into their own product to view certain flash items does not make Flash compatible with iOS. Hello, and thanks for the article! I am using this on galaxy 3 tab and the video box appears (gray colored) but it does not play. No error message, just the gray box and no movie. Any ideas? (this is after installing flash player and trying firefox, the stock browser, and dolphin).

Nothing happened, but I realized I needed to change a couple of settings in my dolphin browser.
I had to allow flash player to work and also change to desktop setting. Then it worked perfectly!

What I found works on facebook any how when you want to watch videos that say requires adobe flash player, push on video & hold then choose option to open in other window, it atually opens up video, works great, I have samsung galaxy 3 tablet
This worked great!! Thanks for taking the time to share the knowledge of this. I have 2 questions. I am not a computer savy person but I manage pretty well. I am wondering after the install I was given the option to view adobe flash player settings and pick/choose how to manage data storage...ie saved documents high scores in games etc. What should do? Next do I have to install a web browser like Firefox opera safari. I know from thew above that Chrome is not an option. Thanks to whomever reply's.
