Updated the app recently and this started happening. Searched the subreddit for some answers prior to posting and found a potential solution which does not work for me (going into seetings > notifications> apps> voice and selecting incoming call notification. that just switches the sound straight to messaging sound.

Earlier this year, I started getting audible notifications that my Google-voice activated phone (via Sprint) was receiving a call. Most of the time I get the notification before the phone actually rings. The ringtone is a bit annoying. Well, my wife has the same setup and somehow she has a different (less annoying) ringtone, so I'm wondering if Google just randomly picks something or what? We both have Google Apps accounts, so there's no difference there. Any ideas?

I left the alarm vibrating and opened the phone's volume controls; the alarm volume was on (half way on the bar) and ringtone was off. I slid the ringtone volume up and there it was, my selected alarm song was playing.

1) Download this mp4r file to your computer or Mac. 2) Then, plug your iPhone into iTunes. 3) Click the iPhone icon in iTunes to open your iPhone iTunes menu (upper left corner of window, under the volume slider). 4) Now that you've opened your iPhone menu, on the left-side column, under "On My Device", click "Tones"- this will open your custom ringtone menu. 5) Drag and drop your downloaded ringtone from the "Downloads" folder into your "Tones" folder. 6) Sync your iPhone. 7) Click "Settings" on your iPhone. 8) Click "Sounds and Haptics". 9) Click "Ringtone", "Text Tone", or whatever you want to customize, then click this file name and you should be good to go! When I have time, I'll create a video tutorial of these steps. And, I may also offer these ringtones via the iTunes store at some point (but you'll have to pay $0.99 each there). Enjoy the sounds of the Suck!

Following Twilio client API: can disable incoming ringtone calling Twilio.Device.sounds.incoming(false). Then you will need to hookup to event Twilio.Device.incoming and manually start you ringtone and hookup to other events to stop playing music when call is answered/cancelled.

Twilio Customer Support here, its not possible to change the ringtone at this time however you could use and have a recording of the ring tone you need until the other leg of the call has a status of 'answered'

It is done with a callback. So first, here is the callback that Twilio makes to get the URL of the ringtone. Note that they call it a "Wait Tone", not a "RingTone". Note that in this example, I get the ringtone from the database.

Our team is a month in to using Zen Voice. We would love to be able to change the ringtone for incoming calls. Our reps have nightmares of the default ringtone after work away from the phones. A choice of ringtones or being able to upload our own ringtones would be fantastic.

+9000 for basic customization options for calls. Volume control would be great so that when I'm enjoying the daily grind and listening to "Today" by The Smashing Pumpkins via Spotify and I'm tip-tap-typing away at some customer emails I don't immediately receive a full-body wave of depression as that intrusive, painful ringtone blasts into my skull. B'great.

+15 bumps for this feature.

The Agents in our organization would LOVE this option. I've personally answered over 25,230 zendesk voice calls over the last 4-5 years since ZenDesk introduced the Voice/Talk feature.

I can't exaggerate how many times my imagination has tried to convince me that I'm hearing the inbound ringtone in the back of my mind, even when it's outside of business hours! lol... I'm ashamed to admit that I've even heard it in my dreams. In MY DREAMS, ZenDesk! PLEASE, let us change it up, even if it was just a few alternate notification sounds, we could at the VERY LEAST, change it to hear something different for once.

Honestly, I have no hope that this will ever be updated since it has been over 5 years since this was posted... But just putting it out there that many of us are still waiting for this and would love to see this very simple feature (changing the ringtone) implemented.

With the "Voice" ringtone, the caller's name is announced when they call if their telephone number is in your contacts. If there is no telephone book entry for the number, the city or the country from which the call is coming is announced. You can change ringer volume in the telephone's menu and also specify whether the ringer volume should increase.

If your telephone reacts to several numbers, you can configure a special ringtone for each of the telephone numbers. This way you can immediately tell which number the caller dialed when you receive a call:

Did you make a custom ringtone with a voice memo by using GarageBand? Do you know of another approach for converting voice memos into ringtones or text tones for iPhone? Let us know your experiences and thoughts in the comments.

Thank you SO much for this tutorial! It worked great for me. The instructions were simple to follow and I now have a personalized ringtone for several people using their voice (that they approved me using). I thank you greatly!

Apple offers built-in ways to make music from iTunes as ringtones, but the biggest problem with these ringtones is that they are too common. Therefore, you can create a unique ringtone by recording the music from social platforms, etc. It's easy to record a personal ringtone on your iPhone, edit it properly, and make it stand out. e24fc04721
