It seems something should be running on your local machine on port 9510. I don't know what Unified Remote is, but have you started any service it installed, etc.? What has a forum or internet search revealed about this problem? Is there a website for unified remote that has troubleshooting info for this particular issue?

So, I've recently installed unified remote server on my ubuntu laptop, and everything works perfectly fine until i try to type something, after typing one letter server crashes immediately. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? And I would like to point out that I am new to ubuntu.

So if you're up for making some code changes, you can edit the mouse remote (make sure to make a backup copy of the file beforehand!) and replace the mouse.click actions with both mouse.down and mouse.up. I'm not sure exactly which remote file corresponds to the actual mouse remote, but it's probably either /opt/urserver/remotes/Unified/Core/Mouse/remote.lua or /opt/urserver/remotes/Unified/Core/Input/remote.lua.

Follow these steps to install a custom remote. Note that this tutorial is applicable to all operating systems. However some steps will be slightly different depending on which operating system you use.

First you need to make sure you have all the files. If the custom remote is in a zip file, start by opening the zip file and extract the folder to a suitable location, for example on your Desktop. If the custom remote doesn't come with a folder, then just create a new folder on your Desktop and put the files inside of it.

Unified Remote is the result of a hobby project of two Swedish students, Jakob Berglund and Philip Bergqvist, which later turned into a profitable start-up venture. The app was first launched as a free app on Android in 2010, with simple features and support for 13 remote controls for Windows applications. A year later, an improved version was released, as well as a paid (premium) version including more features and remote controls. The latest version was launched in 2014, which included an overhauled user interface and introduced support for iOS, Mac, and Linux.

The application provides many remote controls for various programs. This includes basic mouse and keyboard input and support for media applications, presentation software, and even power functions. The server also provides an open API, which makes it possible for developers to create their own custom remote controls.[11]

There are several different apps on the various app stores that provide similar universal remote control functionality. Other competitors also include official apps for different media applications, which instead provide dedicated remote control functionality for specific applications.

In more recent years, software vendors have begun to target smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs directly, thus making the need for a computer remote control redundant. This is especially apparent within the home entertainment space with products such as Apple TV, AirPlay, and Chromecast.

One of the unintended results of cord cutting (for me) has been a proliferation of alternate streaming devices, appliances and accessories. This led to the next step, which was in finding a good universal remote, which then resulted in my (renewed) discovery of Logitech Harmony products.

Control Center voice-activated universal TV remote & home theater hub unifies all devices connected to the TV. The first truly universal TV remote control for the entire home theater: cable and satellite TV, DVR, streaming media players, game...

So what can I do? With the unified App, when the Server is started, but with the smartphone I am NOT in the WLAN, I CAN hibernate or shutdown the server, but when the PC is hibernated or shutten down, then I CAN NOT wake it up, when I am not in the WLAN.

When I am in the WLAN, so I can wake it up with the unified app.

New server version 3.13.0.2505 (52) crashes when you type using the Android system keyboard. The first letter you type works but server immediately crashes before second letter can be typed. Keyboard remote and other remotes work. Tested on EndeavourOS and Debian with same results. reported to dev

Hi, I'm a complete LInux noob and i've just switched from windows because i'm tired of microsoft spying on me. For the most part everything has been fine apart from the fact that i cannot for the life of me make unified remote boot on startup.

I currently have the portable version of the app and it works fine if i double click on it but i don't want to do it everytime i boot my computer. I want it to be done automatically.

I tried adding it to the autostartup tab in settings but it still doesn't work.

The process of discovery of all endpoints and network devices, including virtual hosts and VMs for VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, and cloud infrastructure for services such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, is automated with a unified RMM solution. Visibility into cloud resources, such as SQL instances, cloud applications and load balancers, is also provided by the solution.

This module utilizes the Unified Remote remote control protocol to type out and deploy a payload. The remote control protocol can be configured to have no passwords, a group password, or individual user accounts. If the web page is accessible, the access control is set to no password for exploitation, then reverted. If the web page is not accessible, exploitation will be tried blindly. This module has been successfully tested against version 3.11.0.2483 (50) on Windows 10.

Buying a universal remote control rarely requires justification. You know you need one. A growing population of cunning dedicated remotes that know to hide when they're needed is a headache. It's also a sure sign of gadget addiction, so a metagadget is just the thing.

The full version of the Unified Remote app is not only filled with a few dozen exclusive remotes, it also has a lot of advanced remotes. Remotes that give you even more control. The best example is Spotify Advanced where you can completely control the playback from the Spotify app on you PC, from playing a playlist to searching for a song.

The union wrote that the district hired some employees with the understanding that their position would be remote permanently. Others had purchased homes outside the district boundaries under the impression that remote work was permanent.

In the Sept. 11 email, staff argued that the remote work program improved employee health and wellness, reduced demand for district office space and optimized the use of district facilities and enhanced the opportunities and working experience of those with mobility restrictions.

This sounds like a management problem, not a remote-work problem. For years I worked in organizations -in person- where we discussed the issues of people working in silos, etc. Now that I work remotely, I feel more connected to my co-workers than ever. We check in more, communicate better, and everyone is happier with the life balance.

There are almost 300 school districts in California that have some kind of remote work policy. In addition to that, most San Diego public agencies have remote/hybrid programs to reduce emissions. Why is SDUSD still in the pollution stone age?

I know from a personal friend that the Return to the Office Policy, is disappointing and has caused unnecessary stress to many employees. Let the employees work remotely, they have proven to be effective and loyal. In this day and age community building can be built on line and can be much more efficient. I also know many of the work buildings were not in the best condition.

To clarify, central office staff is asking for a hybrid work policy, not a remote work policy. Most central office staff monitor emails and do not deal with external community members. Most go to school sites when the need is there.

When they used remote support software, several solutions were available to the IT teams, depending on the type of device or operating system. This diverse configuration was not only more complex and unwieldy to use, but also more difficult to maintain and configure, which ultimately had an impact on the security level of the IT ecosystem.

To overcome these challenges, Andros started searching for a software suite that would enable it to rationalize and normalize its global IT support. The aim was to replace all the existing remote support programs with a unique, secure, all-in-one software solution. Further special requirements included the ability to integrate with the in-house systems, stable and tested connections, and ease-of-use for support agents, all of these in order to make the IT support as effective, reliable and economical as possible.

Accurate assessments of fish populations are often limited by re-observation or recapture events. Since the early 1990s, passive integrated transponders (PIT tags) have been used to understand the biology of many fish species. Until recently, PIT applications in small streams have been limited to physical recapture events. To maximize recapture probability, we constructed PIT antenna arrays in small streams to remotely detect individual fish. Experiences from two different laboratories (three case studies) allowed us to develop a unified approach to applying PIT technology for enhancing data assessments. Information on equipment, its installation, tag considerations, and array construction is provided. Theoretical and practical definitions are introduced to standardize metrics for assessing detection efficiency. We demonstrate how certain conditions (stream discharge, vibration, and ambient radio frequency noise) affect the detection efficiency and suggest that by monitoring these conditions, expectations of efficiency can be modified. We emphasize the importance of consistently estimating detection efficiency for fisheries applications. ff782bc1db
